No, that's not usual. Normally it's between 10 and 12 weeks. But I've had bleeding from the start. I had it with my other kids too. So no need to panic right away, but it's nice to have an ultrasound to check if there's still something there and how things are going.

Glad you got a chance to check. It'll probably be a shock the first time. I just did a test. I almost looked pregnant, but unfortunately not. I'll try again tomorrow morning.
  3. Knuffel #23

Oh that's sad.. Let's wait and see what the morning test shows then...
  4. irene started this #24

I'll wait a day or two.
  5. skullie #25

Good luck with the wait, and I'm rooting for a positive test!

Love you! @skullie are you also trying to get pregnant or are you already pregnant?
  7. skullie #27

I'm trying to get pregnant, round 3 now. Saturday is my ovulation day. I already have 2 kids, aged 11 and 13. I'd really like to have another baby with my partner.

    Exciting!!! How are you feeling?
  9. irene started this #29

I woke up last night with a sharp pain in my side. Not nice at all. Could that be related to something? Still having issues with sensitive breasts and abdominal pain/feeling kind of nauseous.
  10. skullie #30

I don't feel anything that would indicate pregnancy. That sharp sting could be implantation, but it could also be a sign of my period coming. It's enough to drive you crazy, our bodies.

Yeah, definitely, and then the waiting... all symptoms can be from a period.
  12. Knuffel #32

    Great that you're waiting, Irene!
Wishing you the same, Skully, hope it happens soon.. You don't have many symptoms right now. Everything could point to pregnancy but also to menstruation.. I think you know best what belongs to your period and what you've never had.

Yeah but my cycle is so weird. I find it so hard. I've also read too much. It says you have to go to the toilet more than usual. What is more? I have the feeling that I just went and then I have to go again already. My breasts are sore, they were sore last time too but now they're sore all day and my bra just doesn't feel comfortable. I can't really tell if this is different... Before I started the pill, my periods were very painful. Now they're not. Pffff this is difficult. I do have the feeling that it's different now.....

@knuffels Did you really have different symptoms? Did you already have the feeling that you were pregnant before taking a test?
  15. Knuffel #35

No, absolutely not.. And I already have 2 kids. By the way, I've never had any issues during my period either. I do have a lot of experience with being really sick from nausea, but that usually only started after the test.
  16. irene started this #36

@knuffels one more night and then the ultrasound. So exciting. Hopefully everything goes well. Good luck!

Ohhh ladies, I’ve got something again... a really bad taste in my mouth. Even a peppermint only helps for a little while. Normally that used to help. Could this be related to something, or do you have experience with it?

Irene, if you're so focused on this, you'll start feeling and noticing all sorts of things that suddenly seem different and could be linked to a potential pregnancy... Not meant to be rude, but these thoughts can really get stuck in your head... Let it go... Take a test or go to the doctor... You're driving yourself crazy with these thoughts, and if it turns out you're not pregnant, the blow will only feel bigger because of this. Next month, you'll just start all over again...

It doesn't really feel like a nice reaction. Pity, I was just asking for advice.
  20. Anonymous Guest #40

Like I already said... not meant to be rude. But if you start thinking that every little thing might be because you're pregnant, you're just driving yourself crazy... the disappointment will only get bigger... protect yourself from this.
