Pregnant??

Hi!

My boyfriend and I really want a baby. We’ve been trying hard. I even keep track of my periods and when we’ve had sex in an app. This week I’ve been having sore nipples, a bloated belly, and I’m getting tired easily. I’ve also read that I can test now because if I have a regular cycle, I should be getting my period by now. My cycle is about 35 days. I’m still not sure if I should test. Every site says something different. I just really want to talk to someone... what should I do?

Hi, are you feeling okay? The only way to know is to take a test, of course. Do you know when your ovulation was? Good luck!

No, I'm not yet at the right time, and according to the app, my ovulation would have been on April 7th. That's why I don't dare to test yet.

Then you could indeed test now. But I've been using ovulation tests lately, and I've found out that my cycles don't follow the "rules." For example, this cycle I ovulated 2 days earlier, and the previous cycle 3 days later. I'd say go ahead and test.

Thanks for your reply. It's so frustrating because then you think you're experiencing symptoms, but it could also just be in your head. Wait a little longer before taking a test. I don't want to take a test every time I feel a twinge either; the disappointment would be too much if it's negative.

#skullie do you know if you can take a pregnancy test before your period in the evening? According to the package it shouldn't be possible, but if I were pregnant could it still work?

4 days before your expected period, I wouldn't test in the evening, Irene. You can try, of course, but you'll really have a better chance of a clear result first thing in the morning.

Hi! They say it's best in the morning, but if you already have enough hCG hormone, it doesn't matter. It also depends on whether he drank a lot beforehand. Is it a test to test earlier?

    Thank you so much!

Yeah, it's a test to check early. Tomorrow morning I'll be alone... I find that a bit less nice if it's positive.

Nighty night and then test, Irene. I'm rooting for you. I'll try the test on Wednesday.

Tricky one, Irene.. But if you have cheap tests, you could take a guess now. Though it's a downer if it's negative now, of course. The chance is higher now than in the morning.. And otherwise, you'll have to wait until there's a little boy too.. Aww.. Tough choice!

Yeah, I know that in the morning you have the best chance. I already told my partner that if I keep feeling this way, I'll do it tomorrow morning at 1. My breasts are so sore... can that already happen in week 4?

It's so sweet of you to think along with me. It would be wonderful if the test is positive, and know that I'd be overjoyed. And if not, we'll try again next month for a new chance.
  14. Knuffel #15

Yeah, that's definitely possible! Haha, I'm really curious now.
Which test do you have at home?
  15. skullie #16

I use the cheap ones too, so it's not a waste of money. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to use the expensive ones yet as confirmation. Hopefully this round will be different. I'm so excited! Keep us updated! And if you take a test tonight and it's negative, remember that anything is still possible! Good luck!

I have different ones, from the Kruitvat and from the Action. I'm also really curious... can't wait!

Are you also trying to get pregnant, or are you already pregnant? Yeah, that's why I bought the cheap tests, so taking a gamble isn't such a big deal.

I think I'm about 6 weeks pregnant today. I have my first ultrasound on Wednesday..
I'd just try one of the tests from Action.. They've always been good for me.
And if needed, I'll take another one tomorrow morning.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Is 6 weeks usual for a first ultrasound? Exciting!
