Can an ovulation test indicate pregnancy?
SofieGuest ·
Good morning,
Maybe not the smartest question, but I can read about this in every direction so much that I'm asking it anyway, hoping for a slightly clearer answer.
My last period started on February 2nd.
I ovulated on February 19th and/or 20th. I tested for this using ovulation tests.
So, since February 24th, I've been occasionally feeling really nauseous. I was (and still am) looking for nothing behind it because, in my opinion, it simply isn't possible yet.
However, this nausea has persisted. I don't notice much else.
I had read earlier that you can use an ovulation test as a very early pregnancy test because LH and hCG are very similar, and an ovulation test shows up first.
So I thought, well, I can at least rule it out for now, and on February 27th I did an ovulation test. And yes, positive.
Of course, I didn't believe it, so I used four different brands, and they were all positive.
Then I did an early pregnancy test from Etos, and it was negative.
Now it's March 2nd, and I keep testing positive with ovulation tests, while the early pregnancy tests remain negative for now.
Could the ovulation tests be indicating an early pregnancy? Or is this really just total nonsense?
It feels very strange to me because I do feel nauseous, but the early pregnancy test is negative.
The standard answer will probably be "wait until Monday," which I understand haha. I just want to know if ovulation tests can detect a pregnancy?
Thanks in advance!
