Baby in mid-October

Good morning,

I got an unmistakably positive test on my NOD (Not Overdue) Monday. See my profile picture.

Last week, due to being busy, I only had one chance to be intimate. Based on my ovulation feeling (as always) and my last period (super regular cycles), I'm due mid-October.

I had a miscarriage a few months ago. It started with severe cramps and heavy bleeding. Now, for about two weeks, I've been having quite intense cramps quite regularly. I'm well aware of the difference between my intestines (IBS) and my uterus.

I can't see the GP until March 2nd for the first (internal) ultrasound. I never really realized before how intense that waiting period can be hehe.

Are there any other (expecting) moms who have had persistent strong cramps in early pregnancy?

Love, Eline

Hi and congratulations! I got a positive test the day before yesterday. My first ultrasound is scheduled for March 10th. Only 4 weeks along. And I do have back pain and cramps in my belly, but nothing extreme.
Your body will be in shock, of course.
A lot is going to change and prepare.
So cramps can be part of it.
If you don't feel comfortable with it, I'd call the midwife and/or doctor. Even if it's just for your own peace of mind. And I agree with you about waiting. I'm also a bit impatient. Hehe.
Do you have any other complaints? Or is it just cramps?
    I dream a lot.
Under back pain and belly cramps.
    By midday I'm already sleepy.
If it stays like this, I'll be very happy!

And just want to add, it's so sad that you had a miscarriage. I understand that's why you're more worried. I don't want to brush that under the rug. That wasn't my intention. But then I'd still call the midwife and/or your GP for yourself. Maybe they can reassure you?

    Hey congratulations!
You're not the only one. Last week I took a test and it was positive. I also have these kinds of stomach cramps, especially in the mornings and evenings. For a few days now, and it's a really unpleasant feeling.
I read that it can be normal because your uterus is stretching.
    Good luck with your pregnancy!
