When to tell??

Haha, I totally get that. I told my parents and sister right away. My husband told his side a few days later. I had a miscarriage before, but even then we shared the news like this and I don’t regret it at all. It’s such beautiful news to share, and it’s nice to have support if things go wrong. I think waiting until 12 weeks is a bit cliché because anything can still happen, and there’s nothing to be ashamed of if something does. Everyone wants to keep it a secret, but it’s something where having support is really nice.

Of course, it’s up to you to decide and do what feels right for you! And most importantly, enjoy it! Congratulations!!

I told my closest family right away. Friends and colleagues only after I had the ultrasound. But some already had a suspicion because they could see it on me. I looked like a dishcloth.
Why did I tell them right away? For support in case something went wrong, and to share the excitement with everyone I love.

With the first one, I told my mom right away because it was far from planned and honestly not really desired (but welcome nonetheless). I told the rest of the family and friends after 3 months, nothing spectacular...
With the second one, we wanted to wait until 3 months to announce it spectacularly, but because I had a bleed and there was no heartbeat then, I couldn't keep it to myself (told my mom). It turned out there was an empty gestational sac; one of the two wasn't strong enough. I told the rest of the family at 7 weeks with a poem in a photo frame: "You can't hear me yet, you can't see me yet, in November I'll be born, can I maybe fit in this frame?"
I've known for 3 days that I'm pregnant with our third, I'm waiting another 3 or 4 weeks, I think after the intake I'll tell them

Have you shared it with your family yourself yet?
