Hard contractions at 21 weeks

Hi ladies,
I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and get regular hard contractions.
Last week I had an examination due to suspicion of a bladder infection. This turned out not to be the case. The cervix was also checked and was nice and long and closed. Still, I'm worried. Is this normal? My midwife says I should take it easier, but I'm already working half-days.
I have about 8 a day (sometimes 2 per hour) and they go away immediately. Thank goodness they're not painful, but it doesn't feel particularly nice either. The baby is very active though, so maybe that's causing it?
Do you guys also have/had this around this time? I'd love to hear from you!
Greetings from Mieke

Definitely take it easy! I stopped working myself due to several physical complaints, but the hardening of the belly is really a sign that you're still doing too much!!!

I'm 22 weeks and have had occasional hardening contractions since 20 weeks. I'm not working anymore now, but last week I was still doing something every day and it was too much for my body, so I had constant hardening contractions all day. I also react to stress with hardening contractions, so yes, really just take it easy, avoid stress, and then I hardly have them at all. Sometimes when the baby moves really hard, but they also go away quickly.
