7 weeks pregnant, weird feeling in the lower right abdomen

I’d love some advice from ladies who’ve experienced this too. I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant. I have a sort of stabbing or strange feeling in my lower right abdomen that radiates to my right hip and back. When I stand up and move, I feel it more. It’s not really painful, but I do feel something... Are there any ladies who recognize this? I’m really worried about the baby.

There can be bands that stretch, but if you're worried, always get in touch with your midwife. She can examine or refer you if needed and reassure you better than anyone reading through a screen. By the way, with a BBZ it's usually the case that the pain increases because you're pressing on something that can't stretch. But as I said, go to your midwife/gynecologist if you want certainty.

Thanks for the reply. I hope it's just my ligaments. I called the midwife but she said I should wait until Monday because I have an appointment for my first ultrasound. Luckily, I don't have any increasing pain. Since I found out I'm pregnant, I've had that feeling in my belly. Let's wait and see...

I had a lot of that around 6-7 weeks too, always pain on the right side radiating to my vulva, thigh, and back. At the 8-week ultrasound, the OB-GYN still saw some blood in my right ovary, probably from ovulation, and she thought the pain was coming from there. So it definitely doesn't have to be an ectopic pregnancy. Hopefully, you'll get to see a nice ultrasound on Monday. Lots of strength while waiting!

Blood in your right ovary, was that also the reason for the pain? And how are you doing now? I'm a bit relieved, thank you so much.

It’s been about a week or two since I’ve had less discomfort. Seeing on the ultrasound that the baby is nicely positioned in the womb really put me at ease. I still sometimes feel that pain on the right side, but now I’m less worried about it, and the pain goes away faster . It’s just because of the blood still there, but luckily it can’t do any harm.

Oh yes, someone also gave me the tip to sleep on my left side, and that really helped me out.

Hang in there until your ultrasound, and hopefully everything is fine for you too.

Definitely, sleeping on the left side helps. Thanks!! I still have a few hours to go before my ultrasound, it's really exciting. I'm curious what the reason is for me.. If I see in the ultrasound that the baby is nicely positioned in the uterus, (hopefully) I'll worry less too. I do have pain all over, as long as everything goes well. Thanks a lot for your reply. I couldn't find anything online about the symptoms I have. Only one-sided pain is mentioned in BBZ, and since I don't have much pain, I couldn't find any info anywhere. I'm a bit relieved and going to my first ultrasound tomorrow with full hope.
