25 weeks - how many kilos gained?

Hi ladies, what's a nice amount of weight you're allowed to have gained (if you're slim) at 25 weeks pregnant? I know it varies per person and that this site also shows what most women have gained etc...but I'm curious what would be considered really nice (based on your own experience and knowledge) at 25 weeks? Thanks.

    7 kilos here? And you?

Wow, "neat"? No idea. I'm also quite slender and have gained about 8kg700 at 30w5d. This is my second pregnancy. With my first, I was already at 12kg by now, so yeah...
How much have you gained so far?
  3. Anonymous Guest #4

I've gained 6 kg now and am right at about 25 weeks. Some websites (forums) say that's quite a lot!! But I think it's pretty good, right?

I do think so, as I already mentioned that I was already quite heavier in my first pregnancy... By the way, I was at 10kg at 25 weeks. I just checked it. So 6kg seems about right

3'5 kilo. Not a lot, but the baby is doing great!! And I also have a noticeably big belly!

Hi Ollivia-Anna, it's so funny that you already have a pretty big belly but haven't gained much weight overall. I personally think 6 kilos is quite neat. I also have a belly, but I think I've gotten a bit thicker all over. As long as it doesn't get too much worse (the belly is fine, of course), but on my hips I think it's okay like this. And well... it'll all come off again after the birth. I'm very sporty and will do everything I can to get back to my normal weight. I secretly hope to gain no more than 12 kilos in total, but you don't always have control over it.

Nope, it's indeed something we never really have control over, right..

Sometimes people even ask me if it's twins!!
I hope I don't gain much more than 10 pounds.
I'm a bit scared that I'll gain it suddenly and get stretch marks..
    That's never good either, right..

Well, tricky question. I don't have my daughter's details offhand, but during my son's pregnancy, I'd already gained about 13 kg at 25 weeks + 5 days, and the midwife never really complained. Before that pregnancy, I was quite thin.

Now, pregnant for the 3rd time, I was "afraid" beforehand that I'd gain that much again. After my son's pregnancy, I hadn't lost all the weight, so I already saw myself ending up quite round.

But it's actually all coming along quite well. I've only gained 3.5 kg so far, and the midwife suggested it's because I'm sturdier now than I was before my son's pregnancy.

Anyway: 6 kg seems pretty reasonable to me, I think.............

I'm jealous of some of you here ! I was nearly scared to death recently. At about 22 weeks I had gained 8 kg, and it stayed the same until about 23/24 weeks. Then at 25/26 weeks I weighed myself and had suddenly gained 12 kg! I thought the scale was broken!! Turns out it was accurate too :-/ So from 55 to 67 already... (26+3)

It’s all not that bad actually. I know someone who gained way more weight. She was already 15kg heavier in the first 6 months and now already 27kg, and she has to give birth. But she’s naturally very slim and retains a lot of fluid. So yeah. I’ve gained 5kg, but I’m pregnant with twins. I’ll be 25 weeks tomorrow. The OB-GYN is surprised that I’ve gained so little, but everything is fine. The babies are growing well, so no panic. I’m not super skinny myself, so yeah, it also has to do with your posture a bit.

I weighed myself today (I'm Tuesday 25 weeks) and now weigh 75.8 with shoes and clothes on. I've gained about 13kg in total.

Two weeks ago I weighed 72 kg and now 75.8 so 3.8kg gained in 2 weeks, I wonder if that's reasonable. But I feel good and it's going well. But when I read all those posts here, I've gained quite a bit after all.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant now too, and I've already gained 12 kilos. But my belly isn't super big. My breasts have grown quite a bit though The rest is still pretty normal. So I'm wondering where all those kilos are hiding?? I was quite slim before pregnancy. I'm not exactly stuffing myself either. I'm trying to drink enough. Sometimes I do get a bit worried because I don't want to end up 25 kilos heavier. On the other hand, I feel like I'm eating normally and there's only so much I can do... We'll see after the pregnancy.

  14. Charloppe73 #15

  15. Anonymous #16

I'm now just over 23 weeks pregnant and have gained 8 kg.
  16. CC Guest #17

25 weeks and gained 7 kg
  17. jesje Guest #18

Me too, 25 weeks and gained 7kg, so that's pretty good
  18. Aoeth #19

I'm at 25 weeks and have gained 6 kg, and I'm pretty happy with that
  19. Incognitaaa #20

25 weeks and gained 3.5 kg since my first OB visit, almost 5 kg from the weight I THOUGHT I had before I was pregnant. Without a scale, it's not entirely accurate.
