First pregnancy dilemma

Hiii! My partner and I have been pregnant for a week now, probably 5 or 6 weeks. The first ultrasound is scheduled for the 9th week. On the one hand, we really want to share this news with our closest family members, but can we ask them to keep it quiet from the outside world until the 12th or 13th week? That's when we want to inform our employers. ............
Or is it unrealistic to ask them to keep it quiet for another 6 weeks? How did you handle this? We don't know what to do.

I told my parents at 6 weeks, my in-laws a week and a half later, and everyone else really only at 12 weeks! -

I told my parents and brother, as well as two good friends, at 6 weeks. The rest will only find out when we hit 12 weeks, in mid-February. For now, everyone's keeping their lips sealed
