Hormones?

Hi everyone,
I'm 24 weeks pregnant today. Everything's going really well, with little to no complaints. Except I've been feeling off in my skin for the past two weeks.
Everything feels like too much and I could cry over anything. Normally I always look forward to work, but now I'm dreading even the smallest things. Even when I've made plans with a friend, which is usually fun, I'm already dreading it.
I don't even recognize myself. I'm really struggling with this.. is it just hormones? Anyone else experienced this while pregnant?
Thanks in advance..

Most likely it's indeed the hormones, try to let it go. Just let the tears flow, it can sometimes be relieving, and remember that things will get better once the little one is here.

Oh my goodness, that sounds really tough.
I’m not someone who cries easily over things, but people can push me much further than they realize. I get irritated quickly, especially with people I don’t know well or at all. Sometimes I even burst out laughing for no reason at all. I do feel lethargic though, not just because of hormones, but also because everything feels physically heavier, of course.

Thanks for your replies. My husband spoke to a woman yesterday who is exactly as many weeks pregnant as I am, and she also had crying spells for no reason. It’s probably the hormones, indeed.
That sounds familiar, liesx: much less patience! I work in healthcare, but I’ve lost a lot of patience with the elderly (don’t let this show, haha), and I find myself quickly thinking, “Come on, hurry up...”

I totally get that sluggish feeling. Those heavy bodies really drain your energy. And yeah, patience is an illusion in those first trimesters. Liesx, you're not alone. It's just a matter of getting used to it. Enjoy the little moments with a cup of tea instead of forcing yourself to be patient when you're not feeling it.
