Forum 1st trimester

After a miscarriage, ovulation and period are supposed to start, but the period hasn't come yet, and the test is negative.

Hi ladies,

Just a question, I hope someone here has experience with this.

On December 5th I had an early miscarriage, I was 5 weeks pregnant. I only had bleeding for 3 days. Then on December 13th I had ovulation, the test confirmed this. On December 22nd I had really bad pain in my belly and pubic area. I think that was implantation.

Now I did a test on the 24th and today, both times negative. But I have a really bloated belly. I had that with my previous pregnancy too, and really sensitive breasts.

So my question is: do you ovulate later after a miscarriage? And can you get ovulation after a miscarriage but not get a period and not be pregnant?

In my opinion you only get ovulation when everything has recovered.

Hope someone has experienced this too.

Love, M

I don't have personal experience with this. I do know that you're more fertile right after a miscarriage than usual... So it's all possible. I guess we'll just have to be patient and test again in two days?

    Yeah, I heard that too.
I used the Kruitvat tests, 2 for 5, maybe that's why. I'll try again on Friday or Saturday.

I see you're in the final stages. So exciting! Good luck.

Just spoke to the GP. Menstruation can also be absent after ovulation and then skip a month. I don't understand anything about my body anymore. Still felt implantation. Bloating and sore breasts. And not having my period is really unpleasant.
