Oh wow, that sounds really uncertain. I can only wish you strength and hope it turns out okay for you.

I'm going through exactly the same thing right now... On Nov 30, I thought I was about 8 weeks pregnant. But all they could see was an empty gestational sac and something that looked like a yolk sac. A D&C was scheduled for Dec 9 (last Friday). Before that, I had a consultation with the gynecologist, who also did an ultrasound and suddenly saw a gestational sac!! He didn't want to proceed further, so he postponed the appointment by a week to see if there would be growth and a heartbeat. If not, then the D&C would be last Friday. I find this incredibly uncertain right now; the days are dragging by and I don't know what to make of it. Was there a heartbeat visible for you already? A beating heart? Not for me, but he didn't think that was too strange since I might be less far along than I thought. I'm trying to convince myself that it's just a miscarriage, but I've still gotten some hope after that second ultrasound...

Nope, there was still no heartbeat visible for me. But since they find it hard to estimate how many weeks pregnant I am, they wanted to wait and do an ultrasound this week. I don't feel pregnant anymore, so it's a mixed feeling that nothing was visible on the second scan, and then suddenly something 7mm appeared in the gestational sac on the third. Wishing you lots of luck on Friday!
