Have you had a good ovulation yet?
  2. lana29 Guest #42

Yeah, they saw that during my last ultrasound too—that I had ovulated. But now they want to draw blood to see if it was a good ovulation. No idea what the hospital is up to sometimes. But I do feel pregnant, though I could just be convincing myself. I don’t know my own cycle—I’ve never had a regular one, so I can’t rely on that. Last time with Clomid, I was already on my period by now, so maybe that means something. I’m going to get my blood drawn on Monday, and I hope to know more then. I’ll also ask if they want to test for pregnancy too.

So on the 29th Friday, I'll actually be on cycle day 28. So I think I can only test with a pregnancy test then. It's just so frustrating that my cycle never runs smoothly; otherwise, you could clearly see when you're overdue.
  4. Leeuwtje #44

Yeah, that's indeed frustrating. Anyway, I'll wait until Monday first... if I go by Thursday, then I'm looking at a 31-day cycle.
I had some mild cramps after ovulation, they went away after 2 days, and since last night they're back. Kind of light period-like cramps. And my breasts aren't tender anymore.... I have no idea what to make of this.
  5. lana29 Guest #45

yes leeuwtje i totally get you. i don't know what i'm feeling either, but i do know it's pretty heavy emotionally, i'm really all over the place, i could cry one day and the next i'm pissed at everyone, it's making me a bit crazy. i don't have cramps or anything, but my breasts have been hurting all week, and i don't even know which cycle i should base it on anymore, i was just thinking 28 days.
  6. Leeuwtje #46

Haha, I totally get the emotional part. For me, it was the Clomid. It can drive you crazy, right?
I've been needing to pee non-stop since last night. Is my body playing tricks on me, or can you feel this so early in a possible pregnancy?
  7. lana29 Guest #47

Yeah, I feel that too. In the middle of the night, I keep having to go to the bathroom and I start thinking my body is just messing with me. Even though I'm hoping for both of us that it's a hit.
  8. lana29 Guest #48

Well, my body was playing tricks on me. I got my period today. I've been trying for 3 years now, and the disappointment keeps growing, especially now that I'm getting help with Clomid—I'm going crazy. I hope it worked out for you, Leeuwtje.
  9. Leeuwtje #49

Oh, what a shame, Lana. I can understand how devastating that disappointment must be. But stay strong... I couldn't resist and just took a test, 3 days early. It wasn't an early test, just a regular one. Obviously negative. So it doesn't really say anything yet. So stupid that I tested, but curiosity got the better of me.
  10. lana29 Guest #50

Yes, sweetie, I totally understand. Yes, I can use Clomid for another month now, and then they'll discuss whether I should switch to something else because my uterine lining stays too thin with Clomid. So I'm curious what we'll do next. Hope it worked out for you too—hang in there a little longer.
  11. Leeuwtje #51

Well... I also got my period today
  12. lana29 Guest #52

Ah, Leeuwtje, that's really tough too. Sorry I'm only seeing this now, I've been feeling a bit down. My sister-in-law is pregnant and wants to have an abortion for the second time, so I've been even more emotional lately. Life is so unfair. She makes it seem so easy, like she just wants to get rid of it and that's it. But I really want it????
  13. Leeuwtje #53

Oh, that's indeed not nice. I can see why you're feeling a bit overwhelmed. How are you doing now? I've also finished my Clomid course. Now I'm doing ovulation tests and starting self-insemination from tomorrow. So far, no side effects from the Clomid. I just hope it did some good...
  14. lana29 Guest #54

Yeah, it's getting better bit by bit. I'm on day 13 now, so Clomid is behind me. I'm wondering, how often do you guys have sex and up until when? I always try for two weeks and then every other day. But my husband already sees himself as a machine and sometimes really doesn't feel like it, even though it's right before ovulation.
  15. Leeuwtje #55

I'm on day 14 today and inseminated for the first time today. I'll do it again on Tuesday and Thursday, so every other day. I'm using ovulation tests to see when I ovulate. Haven't gotten a positive test yet, but I expect one soon. Based on previous cycles, I should get a positive around day 16, 17, or 18. If not, I'll need to inseminate again later.
  16. lana29 Guest #56

Yeah, I used to work with ovulation tests for a long time, but they didn’t really work well for me. I just have intercourse every other day and hope for the best, haha.
  17. lana29 Guest #57

I really feel like I can't talk to my family anymore about how hard it is for me that I just can't get pregnant or stay pregnant. They always act so casually about it, like "oh, it'll happen, don't stress." But today I had another ultrasound, and my uterine lining is still very thin. This time with Clomid, it was even thinner than last time, so I don't expect anything this month at all. Now they want to switch to something else, injections. A lot more ultrasounds involved, so...
  18. Leeuwtje #58

Ah, what a bummer. So sad when another month goes by "for nothing." It's nice that you can try something different next time.
I'm still waiting for my ovulation here. Expecting a positive OPK test on Thursday.
  19. Leeuwtje #59

That’s really annoying too, by the way, that your family is so casual about it. Maybe they just want to come across as positive for you. I think people who haven’t gone through this themselves can’t really imagine what it’s like. I felt the same way before. Now I look at getting pregnant in a completely different way.
  20. lana29 Guest #60

Yeah, that's exactly it. No one really understands how I'm feeling. I had an ultrasound today, and my ovulation hadn't even happened yet. So I'll keep testing and have sex every other day to see if it's still possible this month.
