Olien
Sorry that it didn't work out twice already.
I still haven't had any side effects up until today.
I'm quite nervous about Monday...
Wishing you all the best too.

I’m starting Clomid today too. I’m a bit scared of the side effects, but it’s nice to read that they weren’t too bad for you guys.
Sorry about the two miscarriages, MJB. Hopefully next time we’ll have a little one!

    Good luck, snowflake.
Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks Jolien. Hopefully good news for you next week with your blood test!

Hi, I have experience with it
I also started with 50 mg but didn't get an egg release from that, so I switched to 100 mg. I took that for about 8 months, releasing an egg every month, but unfortunately didn't get pregnant. Eventually, I stopped because it all became too much. I was going in and out for all the ultrasounds, and in the meantime, I gained 10 kg. Then I decided to stop, or rather, I wanted to take a break because I really don't like the mess you put into your body. After that, I had my ovaries "cleaned out" (likely referring to a procedure or treatment), and less than 2 months later, I was pregnant!! After being at it for a year and a half, I finally succeeded. I hope Clomid works better for you without the side effects.

    Hi klaravs,

I did take an ovulation test, so according to that, I should have had ovulation...
Well, assuming we can trust that kind of thing, of course.
    Congrats by the way.

    Hi,
I need to get my blood drawn on Monday,
but I'm not sure if it's worth it since my period is a week early.
  7. sneeuwvlokje #8

Oh, a week early, do you get that often? I'd suggest getting your blood drawn. Maybe they can see from that why your periods were a week early.

I've been taking Clomid for 4 days now and so far I feel fine Last night I woke up a few times because I suddenly felt super hot, even though I usually always feel very cold at night. Could that be a side effect of the Clomid?
Anyway, I have an ultrasound on Friday to see if an egg has matured. A bit nervous about it

Super that you ended up getting pregnant after all, klaravs , even if it wasn't through the Clomid in the end.

    Hi
  9. MJB #10

Hi Lana. Sounds good. Anyway, make it super cozy today and tomorrow. And then you'll know on Thursday if you were right and the egg has hatched. I hope so for you.

Went to the hospital today. Unfortunately, it didn't work out this time. My egg did release, but the lining wasn't thick enough for a pregnancy. Next week I'm getting blood tests to rule out pregnancy for sure, but they said not to hold out much hope. Next month they're going to increase the Clomid dose. Hope it works out then.
  11. Leeuwtje #12

Hi everyone, I'm just following along with you. I'm also starting Clomid today.
  12. lana29 Guest #13

keep us posted, leeuwtje? i have to start my second round tomorrow. i hope it works out this time. good luck to everyone!
  13. Leeuwtje #14

    Exciting, Lana.
I had my last Clomid dose last night. Tomorrow is the first ultrasound, so I'm really curious if there's already a result to see...
Did you also cry like that? All the emotions are just pouring out...
  14. lana29 Guest #15

I don't really know if it's the Clomid that makes me want to cry about everything, or if I've just been emotional for a long time because everyone around me is getting pregnant and it's not working out for me. I started my first round of Clomid again yesterday, so I hope round two works this time.
  15. Leeuwtje #16

Yeah, I totally get that, Lana. It’s probably the combination of that and Clomid, I think. A bit of a double dose.
I went for an ultrasound this morning. It was day 10 of my cycle. They could see one egg, but it wasn’t bigger than 10 mm yet. I have to go back on Monday. It needs to have grown quite a bit by then, otherwise the chance of ovulation is really small. So, just waiting to see what happens.
  16. lana29 Guest #17

Hope you have better news on Monday, leeuwtje. I don't need an ultrasound until the 12th, so good luck!
  17. Stellina #18

    Hey everyone,

I also started Clomid on Wednesday, August 23rd, and "if" I have a "normal" cycle this month (because the previous months were COMPLETELY different), I wouldn't get my period until Wednesday, September 20th... we've been trying hard these past few days... and my gynecologist said I should only have blood taken again after the 2nd cycle... but I don't quite understand when after my 2nd cycle.. right after my period? or not right after?

    Love,
  18. lana29 Guest #19

Welcome Stellina, I think they probably mean the 20th, if you're past due. But don't you have ultrasounds at the hospital? After my ovulation, I'm getting another ultrasound and they'll draw blood right away. This is now my second round of Clomid.
  19. Stellina #20

    Hey @lana29
So BEFORE my next period, do you mean? Or right after? Because he wants to calculate when I ovulate... hopefully it works quickly for you :-) and we can move to another group for future moms :-)
    :-)
