Pregnant but done with boyfriend..

AnonymousGuest ·
I'm 5 weeks pregnant now... but the problem is... my boyfriend and I broke up (not because of the pregnancy). He doesn't know I'm pregnant, and I have no idea how to tell him. I don't want an abortion, but I want a little family. Does anyone have advice?
I don't know what to do right now, and I'm also still pretty young.

Be honest with him. Tell him clearly that you're pregnant, but that you don't want to continue things with him. Your baby ultimately has the right to know who their father is, and who knows, maybe your friend will want to play a role in your child's life in some way. No one can force you into an abortion; only you have the right to decide what happens with your body. Try to get as much support as possible from people you trust who can help you when the little one arrives. Parenting alone is tough, but not impossible, especially if you have a good support network.

The problem is that he dumped me and doesn't want a relationship anymore because of our differences. He gets furious when he knows I'm pregnant and doesn't want to be the one to deal with it :/

I'd honestly tell him, girl. He might get angry, but he was there when he did his part for the pregnancy. And you should keep in mind that you'll be on your own at first since he doesn't want to go further... and honestly, would you really be happy and content if he suddenly came back to you now, knowing it's only for the baby and not because he wants to be with you?

    Lots of strength, girl.

Still, I think you should tell him that you're pregnant and want to keep the baby... you don't want your child to later blame you for keeping their father away, do you? Sooner or later, it's going to come out anyway that you're pregnant. What you could do is wait until you've passed the 3-month mark before telling him. You're still so early in your pregnancy... and how old are you, exactly?

I’d tell him anyway, but I have no idea how... I’d never keep the baby from him either, so yeah :/ &17..

Then I’d tell him as soon as possible. Maybe it’s wise to tell him in a pub, or somewhere else where other people are around...

I'm going to tell him after the first ultrasound..
By the way, I have a quick question: is it normal to have huge stabbing pains in your belly & back when you're just pregnant? :s

I’d first confide in your own mom, and then tell your ex together with your mom or dad.
    How old are you?

    Honesty lasts the longest!
I'd tell him as soon as possible and not wait until the first ultrasound. You might end up with quite a guilty feeling! And maybe if you have a good talk with him, he might change his mind and maybe still be there for you and your child!

I just told him honestly... he wants an abortion, but I want to keep it :/ He was even threatening and stuff pff it's harder than I thought..

Give him time to get used to the idea... this is also the first thing he's said. It's not nothing for him to hear either...

It all worked out perfectly! (I was the anonymous one on this forum ) My ex wants to raise it together with me!

Wow! This just goes to show how someone can change their mind. I wish you both lots of happiness together!

True love conquers all, apparently I'm really so happy now, especially knowing I won't be going through this alone! But those hours are dragging so slowly in the first days! Absolutely terrible hahah

If you like, you can join the topic for June moms 2017. There you can chat nicely with ladies who are also newly pregnant.
