Shingles

Hi, does anyone else have experience with shingles in the first weeks of pregnancy? I already know it's not dangerous for the baby, but it's so annoying and painful that I'd really like to take painkillers, but I'm not doing it because of the baby..

I think PCM is okay in limited amounts, but you might want to check with your GP to see what a safe option and dosage is. Maybe they also have a cream that can help and is safe during pregnancy.

PCM is allowed during pregnancy.. indeed, just consult with your GP

Thanks for the replies! Got acyclovir cream and a sulfur cream. And paracetamol is indeed okay hoping for a quick recovery because I'm really feeling bad...

Phew, what a mess. The swearing about shingles is just in your head as long as it doesn't spread all over your body. I've had it too and the pain was terrible. Glad you have some relief now. Sometimes just rest and patience help. Let me know if the pain gets too bad, then call your GP for extra painkillers. You'll get through it.
