Scared but with a little hope

I’m slowly going crazy. On September 12th I had blood drawn and found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately, I got brown discharge on Wednesday afternoon. They told me not to worry, but on Friday (September 16th) I lost very dark red blood. I was told to come in right away for another blood test. Unfortunately, I got the news that evening that my hCG had dropped from 50 to 32. And that it was turning into a miscarriage. I also started bleeding right away. But not heavily. First brown discharge, then for about 2 days bright red with a little clot in it, and then brown discharge again. Like that until now, with sometimes a day without any bleeding. Because my hormone levels were already quite low and had dropped sharply back then, I thought I’d test with a pregnancy test to see if the line would be lighter or even gone. But now I’m testing very positive?! The cross couldn’t be clearer, and it’s never been this clear, not even when I found out I was pregnant?! I even did another Clearblue digital test. When I was first pregnant, this one showed 1-2 weeks, but yesterday it said 2-3 weeks?! I’m having my blood drawn again today and will know the results soon. My GP also found all of this strange. Especially when I pulled out a test. She said an ectopic pregnancy probably wasn’t the case because I would’ve had severe abdominal pain by now. She thought maybe it was a twin pregnancy where one had died, but she didn’t want to give me false hope, which I understand. But I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?

My colleague went through this, a bit later in pregnancy, around 8 weeks I think. But she didn't know she was pregnant with twins. So things went wrong with one of the twins, who had a miscarriage, but the other one stayed and is now 17 years old and bursting with health.
Unfortunately, you can't do anything more than wait for the results, but I hope you're still pregnant and that everything is going well.
