Quick question

On July 20th was my first day of my last period. On July 30th we had sex but my husband didn't finish inside me. I was supposed to ovulate on August 3rd? But I'm not so sure about that anymore. On August 9th we had sex and sperm did come inside me. Now, I was supposed to get my period last Tuesday, August 17th, but it didn't come! On Thursday, August 18th, we had a faint positive test. On August 19th it was faintly positive again, and on Saturday the 20th, a Clearblue test showing 1-2 weeks pregnant. Due to certain circumstances, we had an ultrasound today and I'm supposed to be 5.1 weeks pregnant! We know it's very early; there was only something like thickened mucus visible, but that was hard to determine. With my previous pregnancy, at 5.1 weeks you could already see a gestational sac with a tiny little embryo! Now my question is, did I have an early miscarriage? The sonographer thought I was less than that far along, but wouldn't you still test positive that early? Today the test was also not very clear yet....

    Hey Frederiek!

I honestly don't know! I did my test too and got a very faint positive line, and I turned out to be 5 weeks as well. I only got my first ultrasound at 8 weeks... and then you could finally see that tiny little dot with the gestational sac...
I hope you get some certainty soon, and anyway... congratulations?! :-)

    Greetings,
    Sarah

Even if your husband doesn't ejaculate inside you, you can still get pregnant because pre-cum is always produced, which contains some sperm cells. The chance is smaller then because there isn't much in it, but you only need one that reaches the target to get pregnant. Are you having an ultrasound soon to be sure?

I know you can get pregnant from amniotic fluid too, and the chance is small! And it would have to be that one time that it sticks, but then you'd expect to see something already? Called the midwife today and I have an ultrasound again on Monday... The tests keep being faintly positive after 10 days past due. I don't get it at all, especially since I could test normally just 2 days after my period was due. If you have late implantation, don't you test later too??
