Hello dear people,

I'm Kellie, 20 years old, and pregnant with my first baby. I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant. I'm incredibly happy.

The only downside is that I don't always feel happy Ever since I got pregnant, I've been nauseous and throwing up every day.
I throw up about 10 times a day and am extremely tired. I can't keep anything down.

I'm someone who cleans all day long and loves cooking.

But even this is hard for me; I'm dreading it and I dread doing it terribly.

I'm exhausted and drained, and that's only after 9 weeks. I really want to enjoy and be happy, but I feel awful.

Does anyone else relate to this or are you going through this too? ??
Fortunately, I have an appointment with the midwife tomorrow.

Best regards, Kellie

The first few weeks can be pretty tough because your body is changing so much! Hormones, etc.
If you're really struggling to keep anything down, try eating something while still lying in bed when you wake up. You can also get oral rehydration sachets at the pharmacy to help you retain more fluids. This way, you won't get dehydrated as quickly, which is super important with this weather!!

But I think many women could relate to all these complaints, hehe. Usually, things start to improve around week 12.

I totally get it. Just know that you can go to your GP, and there might be medication that can help with the nausea!
I had a lot of nausea during this pregnancy too. I got pills from my doctor, and it really took the worst of the pressure off, so to speak.
It helped mentally that it was my second pregnancy, so I had a constant reminder of why I was doing this in the first place.
Usually, it gets better after the first trimester.

I totally relate to this. I was also incredibly sick for 4 weeks. I couldn't keep anything down and spent whole days in bed. Eventually, I went to the doctor, where I had to give a urine sample. It turned out I was running on reserves and was dehydrated. I had to get my blood drawn immediately, and then they decided whether I needed to be hospitalized. Luckily, that didn't happen. I also got suppositories for the nausea, drank lots of electrolyte drinks to help retain fluids, and things gradually got better. Now I'm 10 weeks pregnant and haven't vomited for a week. I'm still extremely tired all day, so I'm not fully enjoying it yet, but compared to before, I shouldn't complain. I hope to get my energy back soon!

Hang in there!! It will get better on its own, and if not, really go see your doctor!
