getting pregnant during the summer holiday teaching period

Hi ladies

I'm dealing with something really unpleasant.
My last period was on May 22nd, so technically I've been pregnant since then.
Since you obviously don't know you're pregnant in the first few weeks, I just kept working in education (as a temporary worker, not permanent or TADD). I worked until the end of the school year, June 30th. In early July, I found out I was pregnant. I went to the occupational health doctor through my last school because I don't have antibodies. I thought the unemployment fund would give me replacement income, but apparently not?
I don't understand any of this anymore, can someone help me?

Do you live in the Netherlands or abroad? Because you mention an occupational health physician, by the way, beautiful word. But as far as I know, it's not used much in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, benefits are handled through the UWV, including maternity benefits. If your contract is still active with your employer, they should take care of this. For this, you need to provide a pregnancy declaration through your midwife.

By the way, I also found this about the rules in Belgium. Maybe you can use it.
