Bacteria

Hi ladies.

I have a question.. I heard that I carry a bacteria that isn't harmful to the woman but can make your baby sick, so I'm now on a course of antibiotics.. Who else has experienced this? And to the moms who recognize this.. How sick can your baby get from it? I shouldn't have to worry, but of course you do anyway.. Love x

What's the name of the bacteria?
And how did you find out?

I’m going through the hospital, so via a geneticist... Honestly, I don’t know what that bacteria is called... I heard about it over the phone. On August 17th, I have an appointment and we’ll discuss it further. When my labor starts, I’ll get another round of antibiotics.

    Oh my, that's so intense..
I don't have any experience with it, but as a babysitter, I'm more likely to catch CMV. I thought maybe you might have had it..

Hopefully, your antibiotics kick in and your baby is unharmed

It'll be fine. A baby doesn't have any resistance to bacteria yet, so hopefully the antibiotic course will do its job and he won't get sick after birth. Think about fever.
    Thank you, Marlies
