Premature mom

miszmars
Hi everyone,

I'm a proud preemie mom of a little boy who was born at 27+5 weeks. He's now 18 weeks old. I'm looking for other preemie moms to share experiences with and just chat.

Is anyone here by any chance?

Greetings

    Here’s a mom of a premature baby too .
How are things going with little Miszmars now?

Hi hi, I'm not a mom of a premature baby, but I myself was born premature.
I weighed 630 grams and was born at 24 weeks. After lots of hospitals, therapy, special education, and a loving family, I'm here.

I'm now a fairly healthy (Wajong) young woman, just married at 25
And I really want to become a mom too, but I'm afraid I might also have a premature baby.

We've been trying for 7 months now without any results.

I really want to wish you all the strength, mama's, and keep hoping and believing that everything will turn out okay with your baby.
It's helped me get far too, luckily.
If you have any questions or anything...
    Xxxx

Wow! That was really early and tiny! Glad everything is okay with you! I don't really know if you're prone to that, I think it depends on the reason why you were born prematurely! It's exciting anyway, with our second child there's also an increased risk of preterm birth!

    Good luck with getting pregnant!

    Hi!
My son was born at 25 weeks and weighed only 580 grams... After many tough lows, with occasional bright spots, he’s now a healthy 6-year-old boy who, in principle, shows no signs of his early start... He’s a bit behind his classmates at school, but otherwise, he’s a cheerful little guy who doesn’t show any obvious differences!
    Best wishes!

I also gave birth to a "preemie" this month. At 23 weeks, Mees was already eager to explore the world.

Wow, that's really super early!! How are you doing with your little one?

Is everything okay with Mees? Seems really exciting so early on.

Mees is doing exceptionally well! He’s already gone from size 30 to 34. He weighs 100 grams more than his birth weight and has an 85% chance of survival. At birth, this was 26%.

Wow, what an amazing percentage! I don’t know you, but I’m genuinely happy for you—what a little miracle, wow! Wishing you all the best and lots of strength ahead for you and your family! So special.

Hi everyone! My son was born at 33 weeks. It was quite a shock at first, but luckily he did really well right away. He’s almost 1 now and has been off physiotherapy for 3 months and off the pediatrician for 6 months, at least for now. He’s ahead in terms of growth and development. Hopefully, things will keep going this well. Some of you had babies way earlier than that, I guess. Luckily, it’s all going well with the little fighters.

Our son was born at 28 weeks and is now 14 years old and has already grown taller than me.
Wishing you all lots of strength during this exciting time, ladies.

    Hi
We became proud parents of a daughter, Felíne, on February 28th. She was born after a pregnancy of 32 weeks and 4 days. She weighed 1905 grams and was 41 centimeters long.
She’s doing well considering all the circumstances; she can breathe on her own, but doesn’t always want to eat by herself, so she gets her food through a tube. She’s only 2 days old but already a girl with a strong will!!

Here’s the proud mama of a premature little one
Little Isaac was born on June 1st, 2018 at 26 weeks and 4 days, weighing 1200 grams and measuring 36 cm. He’s been home for almost a week now, and we’re enjoying every moment with him

My son Felix was born on 1.1.18 at 31+5 weeks. The due date was February 28th.
Felix was born prematurely due to a bowel perforation, but he's doing great now and has been home for over 4 months already.

Here’s another preterm mom twice over...
Our son Jack was born at 33w5d.. 1560g & 43cm
Our son Riff was born at 35w1d.. 1980g & 44cm

Hi! I also had 2 premature babies: 1 at 33 weeks, 1995g, 44cm and 2 at 34 weeks, 2090g, 44cm. Now I have two healthy girls, aged 7 and 10, and we're trying for baby 3. I'll find out this month if it's positive.

I saw this topic and just had to chime in.

I'm a mom of 2 full-term babies, but I worked in the neonatal unit at the hospital for 8 years. When I was pregnant with my oldest, I'd often think, "oh, she's now about as big as this baby," and "oh, just a little longer in there and you'll be as old as this baby." It gave me so much peace knowing I was hitting those milestones. Especially since there are so many success stories with premature babies!

It's all just so special???? and nothing is taken for granted.
