Ment to be a mom
dear future moms

I'm Michaela, 19 years old. My boyfriend is 21, and we've decided to become parents early on, so we're trying for a baby.
Becoming pregnant is my dream, and especially for me, I've known all my life that I want to carry a child. We've been together for 3 years, are happy together, and almost engaged, so we really want to go for it! (;

Are there young moms or future moms who want to share their experiences about getting pregnant, being pregnant, or having just given birth?
Leave a nice message because we're totally in the baby phase (:

love

Hey girls, I don't quite understand your question? Sioriana? What exactly do you mean? This forum was meant for having a nice chat about being pregnant and trying to conceive (:

    Love,

T is finally here. Every now and then, weird posts like this pop up on Brabbels. The moderators can't or won't do anything about it. Just ignore it.

Off-topic now: I was just 20 when we started trying. Due to fertility issues on my side, it took over 1.5 years before I got pregnant. Now I'm almost 24 and already pregnant with baby #2!! Age doesn't matter when you're a mom-to-be, so don't let any comments from people around you get to you! Good luck, and hopefully, you'll be pregnant soon too!

Hi crumbs! Thanks so much for your message. Yes, I definitely found it weird, hehe. It's nice that you're a mom too! We're trying to get pregnant with our first baby, so it's all very exciting!

And baby, quick question: how did you manage work and study while having your child?

    Child going to daycare?

I'm also a young mom (26 years old)

Yeah, I know that. Yeah, that’s what I thought: the little one goes to daycare, and I can just go to school. I’m going to combine my internship so that I only send them to daycare 3 days a week, in connection with 2 or 3 days of internship.

What I wanted to ask is: were your reactions positive, and was the baby planned or unplanned? We both really want a baby. Maybe you can relate to this: the moment you get pregnant, it actually feels very natural. That’s how I feel. Or when I’m around kids or babies, it feels very natural because I know what I’m doing. So if I get pregnant, I’ll be experienced; I’ll know what’s coming?

I had my first baby when I was 23 and I'm due in 4 weeks with the second one, and I'm now 25.
    My partner is 29.
I've always wanted to be a young mom and didn't want to wait until I was 30.
We both wanted to have a permanent contract and our own house.

We're expecting two girls. They'll go to daycare one day a week, then two days the next week, and then one day again, etc. My sister and mom will also help out one day a week. I work 27 hours spread over 3 days. I think it's totally doable to combine everything, and I'll still have plenty of time to enjoy my kids.

You're really not too young, you know. It's tough to be a mom. I was a mom of 2 kids at 19.

You know, no matter what you do, you'll always get criticized. You'll never do it right... I just don't care what people think of me.

    Enjoy your life xx

Our little girl spends 2 days a week at my parents'/sister's house, and 1 day dad's in the morning and goes to her grandmother's in the afternoon. I work 24 hours on 3 fixed days.

As Mama van al says, don't mind what others say and do it in the way that feels right for YOU!

Hey girls, I'm so excited about your replies! Yes, we feel the same way—it's our life and we really want a baby. Happy thoughts, right? Do you think I'm too young? I don't think so either, hihi! And I'm sure it'll work out for me! With my boyfriend, I'll keep you posted. Tomorrow is my ovulation day! So exciting.

Love, thanks so much, girls. This helps me stay positive.

Only, you'd also do it just fine, you know, women are made for that... We can do that

I was completely alone with my 2 babies (twins) from birth.
I was only 20 years old then.

Wow, what a great idea to have a forum here! I'm 22 myself and can't wait to become a mom. I've always said I want a big family with lots of kids, so I figured, why not start early?

It's also really nice to read that there are other ladies who've had babies early too. It puts my mind at ease and motivates me again.

    Best wishes!

Yesss, kids are the most beautiful & fun thing there is but I realize that it's not a given to have a baby it's truly a gift

Hey girls, your stories inspire me so much! It's so nice that you're getting good responses and experiencing it positively. I've wanted to become a mom for a long time and have known for ages that I want a child, and it turns out they're quite compatible!

Thank you so much, girls! I feel so happy again!!
  17. Mama van #18

What if you end up having twins? You should take that into account too
  18. Ment to be a mom started this #19

Hey mama! Yeah, I know that. The lucky ones get the same thing, but for the lucky ones. And in our family, no one has twins. But it's definitely not impossible. Everything is welcome, my friend says that too, and I agree! And even though we're young, we're very happy if a baby comes. Also, my friend says if it doesn't work out this month, we still have other months where it can happen, hihi.

But it really helps me to talk about it with other young moms or soon-to-be moms, so thanks, mama, for chatting with me.

    Love,
  19. Mommy017 #20

I totally agree with you that it helps to talk to other women.
It's just different when you talk about pregnancy with your husband/partner.

By the way, I really hope it worked out for you, and that you'll have a nice positive test soon!!!

    Greetings
