Empty pregnancy sac

Hi ladies,
had my first ultrasound today. If all goes well, I should be 8 weeks pregnant now. The scan showed a gestational sac, but it was empty. We saw something vague on the wall, but couldn't make out anything definite.
So it's 50/50 right now, and I'm so anxious about everything. It could be a miscarriage, or the embryo is just hidden, or I'm less far along than I think. Especially since my cycle isn't regular. I don't know how I'm supposed to feel, especially since I feel super pregnant and have such a positive vibe about this pregnancy.
Are there any ladies with experience who've been through this too?

    I don't have experience with it in the way you're explaining, but I want to wish you lots of strength. Such uncertainty is exhausting. I hope everything works out for you in the end.

    Thanks! I can go again on Monday, yes it really is. My belly is growing and I really feel like there's a baby in there. And I really thought I saw something. So now I'm staying positive and hoping for a good ultrasound on Monday.
