Hi ladies,

My name is Tamara and I'm now 24 weeks pregnant with our first baby. My pregnancy is going pretty well. I had a few weeks of nausea and fatigue, but that went away relatively quickly.

Other than that, I don't have many complaints, except for pregnancy-related sciatica, which bothers me when I do too much.

But lately, I think I'm dealing with my hormones because I feel so incredibly insecure. I'm really negative about myself, especially about how I look right now.

I'm having trouble enjoying the pregnancy because I'm so focused on this! I've also already gained 11 kilos

I want to get out of this negative spiral, but I don't quite know how... I thought that maybe sharing a bit about myself would help.

And maybe some of you have tips on how to get out of this.

Thanks a lot in advance for your responses.

Hey Tamara, you're definitely not alone! It started for me around that time too, mainly because you can no longer wear the clothes you like, always the same maternity wear. What helped me was treating myself to a makeover once. Then you feel a bit better instantly, I think..

I've gained a lot of weight too. I'm now 35 weeks and already up 20kg. In the last few weeks, I've been gaining 2kg every 2 weeks and often feel like a beached whale. I've started to find my belly nice and cute again in the last 2 weeks. I think I'll miss that once our little girl arrives. But the rest of my body is also very swollen. I find that less nice

Don't worry too much yourself, judging by your photos, you're a beautiful girl. And in a few weeks/months, we'll be radiant moms

Thank you Tasja for your kind words! It does me good, and it's nice to hear that you're not alone in feeling this way.

Unfortunately, makeup doesn't help, but talking about it did.

And as you said... it's definitely worth it when we have those little ones of ours. And then let's get pregnant again. Fortunately, I hear from everyone that it's often not permanent!
