Hi everyone!
I'm 5 weeks pregnant now and having really bad lower back pain. Has anyone experienced this? I'm going to see a physio tomorrow...
Greetings, Marjon

Hi! Yeah, I started with light bleeding too. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant. Since 2 days ago, I've had bright red bleeding with clots, but no cramps or anything. No back pain anymore either. Going to the hospital on July 3rd to see the gynecologist if the baby is still okay.

    Good luck!

@Marjon, do you have a history of back problems? It could also just be a coincidence this early in pregnancy.

@jovana, wishing you lots of success

    Sietske,
I do indeed get back pain quickly. Maybe the hormones are making it worse right now. Luckily, I don’t have any bleeding. I’ll just go to the physio tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get some good exercises.
    Jovana,
That doesn’t sound good. I’m rooting for you! Wishing you lots of strength and let me know what the outcome was.

    Hi Marjon,

I had a really bad backache during the first four months. Probably a hormone thing. Then I had two months off, and after that it started again. Until about 1.5 weeks ago, and now I'm pain-free again. Still nice to enjoy 3 weeks without pregnancy pain, though now I just have a very high fluid level ;-).

    Good luck, girl!

An osteopath can also do a lot of good during your pregnancy. I have had many positive experiences with osteopathy during and after pregnancy. Good luck!!

    Nicole,
Thanks for the reassurance. Hopefully, it'll get a bit better for me too. I've been given exercises by the physio, so time to get busy now! You stay strong with the final stretch.
    Iza,
I've been going to the physio since Friday, so I'll check that out first. If after a month there's no improvement, I'll definitely ask around about an osteopath. Thanks for the tip!

Hi! I also had back pain from 5 weeks onwards. I gained quite a bit of weight in the first two weeks, and I remembered my aunt mentioning she used a belly support. So I got one at Hema. You can get them loose or combined with a panty. It worked really well for me! I'm now 8 weeks along and don't have any pain anymore.

    So relatable!
I'm only just 5 weeks pregnant and already dealing with back pain for 4 days now.
Especially at night—I've been awake for 3 nights straight, even though I've never had back issues before! Heartburn is the worst too; I can only sleep sitting up. So annoying!
If this continues for 9 months...

Oh, that sounds really unpleasant!! I kept walking on my heels and suddenly got severe back pain and a high fever (everyone naturally pointed to my heels!!) : It turned out to be a severe urinary tract infection, which led to a massive kidney infection: A week in the hospital. Still glad it wasn't my back, but it could still happen, of course!!

Good thing I'm not the only one dealing with back pain. I've looked into it a bit and it turns out it's due to a hormone. This makes the connections between your joints looser (which is nice and easy when a baby needs to come out later :-)). So it's a very natural process. I also read a lot of stories from women who don't have any issues during their pregnancy. At first I was quite jealous of that, but now I think it's actually good to feel nauseous, tired, have sore breasts, and walk around with back pain. Isn't that a sign that your body is doing what it's supposed to do? It can be really annoying, but I'm proud of my body and from now on I'll just enjoy being pregnant.

Hi, I'm 2 days overdue and I also have lower back pain. It's such an annoying feeling, ugh.

Haha, I asked myself the same thing when it was 9 months and still going on, wow. I also had lower back pain when I was 4 or 5 weeks pregnant. Now I'm 8 weeks pregnant again and still have that lower back pain, but it's less.

    Hi!

Today I'm 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and I'm also having terrible back pain and sometimes some stomach pain.. (since week 5)
    So you're not alone
Strength and hopefully you'll feel better soon!
  15. Marjon Guest #16

    Hi Noes,

That's really tough... Our little one is already 15 months old now, so my back pain is just a vague memory. The exercises from the physiotherapist really helped me out a lot. Maybe that's an option for you too? Anyway, sending you strength and wishing you a smooth pregnancy!!

    Hi,

I'm also four weeks pregnant and have been having quite a bit of back pain (all over my back) for a while now.
It usually starts in the evening. But sometimes I feel it as soon as I stand up.

    So, I think it's normal!
  17. Nolly Guest #18

I'm 15 days overdue and have done 5 pregnancy tests (all negative). And since today, I've got really bad lower back pain.
I'm starting to suspect I might be pregnant! I'll call the doctor on Monday.

    Hi,

    I have a few questions.
My period was due by the 14th, but for the past 2-3 weeks I've had severe symptoms:
    nausea,
    headaches,
for the past week, severe lower back pain,
    white discharge (a lot),
    feeling pops now and then,
    sometimes cramps under the belly,
    stabs in the groin,
    fatigue.
Can I take a test already?

I already have two boys, aged 1 and 2.5, and a third would be very welcome

Also had severe back pain from 6 weeks, never went away, and now almost 32 weeks. Turns out it's kidney swelling.
