miscarriage or not

Froemel
I tested positive on Tuesday, so I'm super happy, of course! Last night I had a small bleed with a small clot, and nothing else since. I made an appointment with the midwife yesterday and told her about it, but she said I don't need to worry as long as it's just a small bleed. Still, I'm really unsure now whether it's a miscarriage or not. With our first baby, I had a heavy bleed at 7 weeks, and they told me it was a miscarriage. But a week later at the follow-up, it turned out it was just a bleed and I was actually 8 weeks pregnant. I don't dare to hope that this is just a normal bleed, but maybe someone has experienced this before and can help me out....

    Hi hi,
Just curious how you're doing now?
Too bad no one has replied yet, have you figured things out?

I haven't seen your question yet..
But honestly, there's not much you can do but wait..
I hope they can give you an ultrasound sooner.
But I've heard that they're quite strict about it nowadays,
since you've lost some blood, there should be enough reason for you to be seen..
I hope you'll soon be out of this uncertainty...

Love and I hope it stays fine, just like with your first child, big hug

Thank you for your responses! I called the clinic and I can come on Tuesday. I'll be 6 weeks then, hopefully they'll be able to see something.

For me, it was at 6 weeks and a few days..
Glad you can come, let me know how it went

    Exciting, little one!
I'm in a similar boat. I had light bleeding last Saturday, and a bit of brown discharge on Sunday, so I wasn't too worried. Now, today I had nothing until tonight, when there was light bleeding again with a small clot. I'll call the midwife tomorrow.
    I'm rooting for you, girl!

Oh no, not hopeful I hope everything is okay, love.
Good luck with the little one tomorrow.

Oh, hopeful! That's also annoying! Gonna call them tomorrow, yeah! How far along are you?
I'm allowed to come tomorrow at 10:15, it's getting quite nerve-wracking!

I also had light bleeding at 9 weeks. I'm almost 23 weeks pregnant now. Bleeding is more common in the beginning... I was told that miscarriage is always a combination of cramps and bleeding.

As long as it stays light bleeding, try to stay positive. It's always scary to see blood though!

Good luck, I hope you find some peace soon x

I totally relate to your story. Unfortunately, it’s happened to me 4 times now that I got a positive test but then started bleeding anyway. None of them ended up with a positive outcome... but every body is different, and bleeding doesn’t always mean something’s wrong. I hope your ultrasound looks good and that it’s nothing serious! Sending you lots of strength.

I went to the clinic and had an internal ultrasound. No heartbeat was visible yet, but the uterus was enlarged and there was definitely something there, so the bleeding certainly wasn't a miscarriage. Now I just have to wait another two weeks for the next scan. I'm a bit more reassured now, luckily!

    Happy crawling!

    How are you doing?

I saw the little heart beating for the first time today! When I called, they immediately put me in during the consultation because of my history (I had an ectopic pregnancy and I have a condition that affects my blood vessels). Finally saw a little heart! It made me quite worried... Fortunately, completely unfounded! I'm 6 weeks and 5 or 6 days today.

Good to hear it looked good for you too, froemel!

    Congratulations, hopeful! Great news.

And it's so nice that Froemel looked good! Onwards to day with a beating heart in 2 weeks!

Froemel, has the bleeding stopped by now?

For me, luckily it has! Of course, it started right AFTER I went to the doctor... you always see that.
