Stabbing pain in the belly - stress?

Hi ladies,

I'm 19 weeks pregnant now and have been experiencing stabbing pain in the lower left part of my belly. It's been going on for almost 2 days now. The pain comes and goes, and at times of pain, I can't walk upright.

I went to the maternity ward, and the baby is fine.

I'm still worried though. According to the midwife, my belly was tense, and she attributes the stabbing pains in my belly to stress.

Has anyone here experienced this?
