Just 15 weeks pregnant, can you already feel the baby?

It’s like you’re being squeezed on the inside, at least that’s how it felt for me. I can still remember it clearly now, but I don’t remember everything anymore. Still, I do remember that feeling ..

Yeah, it's really hard to describe.. hopefully it'll become clearer! But anyway, it's all so special!

I felt it really early too, with my second it was already around 14/15 weeks because I recognized the feeling. I did have a uterus that rose very quickly and therefore had to have extra checks during the 14-22 week period. (nothing serious in the end though)

I think you're just feeling your baby already. Special, right?

Okay, so it’s actually quite possible. Why did you need extra tests then?

And yeah, it’s such a special feeling. Can’t compare it to anything. That’s why I immediately thought of the baby, but thought that wasn’t possible yet. But couldn’t find any other explanation either.

It seems that if your uterus is too high, it could clearly indicate too much amniotic fluid (which can be a sign of something) or a baby that's too big for your gestational age. Or maybe they didn't calculate your due date correctly. But luckily, there was nothing wrong. I have a narrow pelvis, and in my case, the uterus first went up and then forward.

Oh okay! I know that too! Hopefully, that’s not the case for me. But it seems like she would have said something if that were true. She only said it was neat, so go with that!

Fortunately, there was nothing wrong with you either.

I felt our daughter at 14 weeks, didn't know it yet, until the midwife listened with the doppler and I felt what I heard!

So beautiful and special, ladies! I felt it again yesterday. Now much clearer!

I'm pregnant with my second now and I've already felt him at fourteen weeks. That's really early but it can happen. I've been pregnant before too so I'm sure it's him. I feel him regularly now but only when I'm really still. Otherwise it's still a bit too weak. I'm seventeen weeks now.

The first time was special. I was waiting for the results from the hospital. They could really be quite bad (after the amniocentesis) and in those days I started feeling him like he wanted to say: I'm here and I'm okay. Really special even though I wasn't that happy about it at the time because I was so scared it wouldn't work out. But in the end it's all good :-)

Ugh, I felt mine at 12 and 13 weeks, then again at 16/17 weeks, and from then on every day, like 2 or 3 times. Now I'm going crazy from it, hahaha!
So yeah, it definitely can happen.

Oh, and this is also my first one.
  11. kuki88 #12

Yes Butterfly, I really only feel it when I sit very still. But I am sure it is.
And with the first time it is indeed very beautiful like that..

Oh yes Tamara, so it can happen. I also read that some uterine walls are thinner than others. I have some experience with that too.
  12. Tamara #13

Kuki88, and mine is really thin now. I can even feel how he’s lying right now, haha.
  13. kuki88 #14

Aah, that's quite special, Tamara. Lovely!
  14. Tamara #15

Haha, oh I still have 11 weeks to go. I hope I feel him turn soon so he’s in the right position.
  15. kuki88 #16

What you can try if you want to help him turn is to hold the shower head in one spot with warm water and move it slowly. Often, the baby will follow the warmth.. ; )

I also think I feel something every now and then, and right after that I have to pee hihihihi. P.S. I'm also 15 weeks.
  17. Mandy #18

Sure thing. I already felt the baby at 13.4 weeks. Second baby, though... my placenta is positioned at the back, so you naturally feel every movement sooner. I'm now in the 20th week, and by week 18, the dad had already felt the baby move. So it's definitely possible. Enjoy it!
  18. kuki88 #19

Yea, I happened to have a fun ultrasound and they also mentioned that my placenta is posterior. So it makes sense that I could feel it! Now at 17 weeks, hopefully it's the same as with you that dad can feel it soon too. He really wants to hahaha
  19. Tamara #20

Mine is on the side, so I feel it just as hard in the back too.
