Good morning everyone,

I’d love to hear your thoughts: last Saturday I took a test for the first time, and there was a clear line and a faint line. Since a baby would be very welcome and it’s our first one, it’s naturally very exciting, and a bit nerve-wracking. This morning I took another test and the line is now clearly visible, so I assume it worked. I’ve also been feeling pregnant due to all sorts of ailments. But it’s still very early on, and since I had an ectopic pregnancy before, you have to be careful.

But this morning the roads were icy, and I made two attempts to get to my work, which is an hour away. I was slipping all over the place and decided not to go, especially since I’m just starting to be pregnant. I had to call my boss to let her know, and in the heat of the moment, I told her I didn’t want to risk anything due to the early stage of my pregnancy. I feel a bit bad about it now, since only my husband and I know, and no one else. How do you all feel about this? Was it silly of me to tell them so early? I think I’m about 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Your boss can definitely think that, right? Don't assume he's going to post it on Facebook or something, haha. I actually think it's great that you've already made that clear; otherwise, he might think, "Well, everyone comes after work, so why not her?" You know what I mean?
Also, he'll then know that you might be sick more often or a bit absent.
Enjoy your pregnancy and go with a good placenta
