Pain on the left side in the lower abdomen

Hi there,
This is my first time on this forum... and since it's my first pregnancy, I'm a bit unsure about everything I'm feeling.
I have a painful, bruised feeling on the left side of my lower abdomen. I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant. Does anyone here have experience with this? I'm kind of worried about an ectopic pregnancy (EUG) because I read that you can also have pain on one side of your lower abdomen in that case.

Then I immediately think of round ligament pain.
Your ligaments stretch, and with a first pregnancy, you really feel it.
