Had a family expansion a few months ago. It's winter and the walls are closing in on us. How are we going to get through the coming months?

    Indoor playground
    Crafting
    Walking
    Baking cookies
    Swimming
    Listening to/singing/dancing to songs
    Visiting
    Toddler dance classes
    Making music

I've never been bored, anyway. :-)

    Thank you, Pien!

Does anyone else have any tips?

Dress warmly and go for a nice walk in the woods, get nice and muddy, then craft at home with the leaves and stuff you found.

Scouring Christmas markets and taking nice walks. Nature offers fun things to learn with the little ones in every season. I haven't been bored for a single day with my toddler (3 years old)...
Building huts out of blankets at home is cozy too, playing hide-and-seek...
But mostly, it's nice to be outside
And if you're unsure, you can also just have a nice indoor day on the couch and chill.
And yes, baking cookies is really fun...

Yes, exactly. I personally think it's important to teach your kids that you make your house a home, and that you don't always have to go out (or flee) to have fun or be entertained. This will really show when they're older/adults. With kids, you can never really get bored...

Maybe it doesn't sound great to everyone, but I just turn on the TV and let them watch cartoons, including quite educational ones where they learn a lot.
I get my peace and quiet and they're happy
I've added a lot of kids' channels to my KPN subscription, ideal
Otherwise, if the weather allows, like now with a mild winter, I let them play outside.

And their tablet with games they loaded themselves is also keeping them completely happy.
Ideal for the colder or rainy days. We really only go outside when the weather allows it.
I don’t like the runny noses and earaches much, so to prevent that, we really only go out when the weather permits.
And luckily, my girls are rarely cold or sick.
