5 weeks ultrasound, nothing to see yet

Whoa, whoa! I had an ultrasound yesterday because I lost some blood.
I thought I was 6.3 weeks pregnant,
but that wasn’t right—I made a wrong calculation with Clearblue, so I’m actually 5.3 weeks pregnant.
Only now, there was nothing visible on the ultrasound—just a pregnant uterus, but nothing inside it.
I have to come back in 10 days.

But I’m quite worried. Has anyone else experienced this too?

Most first ultrasounds aren't done around 7 weeks for nothing. So you can see something haha. Don't think you need to worry anymore. I think you're just a bit early. Just wait those 10 days, there's a good chance you'll see more then.

    Hi,

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy!

You mentioned you've been bleeding... How much was there? I've experienced it twice myself that when I had some bleeding around 5 weeks, unfortunately, nothing was visible on the ultrasound either, and it sadly didn't go any further than that.

At five weeks, in most cases, you should at least see a gestational sac, but it's also very possible that it's just a bit hidden or hasn't grown enough yet. So it could still go either way.

I hope the next ultrasound brings you good news.

I had an internal ultrasound at 5 weeks with my daughter too, due to unexplained pain... At that time, only a gestational sac was visible. Meanwhile, she’s 1.5 years old. The bleeding might not be great news, but you do see this more often early in pregnancy, and it often means nothing.

Hope you get a good ultrasound in 10 days.

    Dear,
I'm now 5 weeks further along and just had an ultrasound. There was nothing visible on the scan; have any of you women experienced this? That it was visible and growing after 6 weeks?
I am worried because nothing was seen on the ultrasound
Thanks in advance for more information.
