Who else is having a girl in November?

Wendy
Went to the OB-GYN today. I’m normally 16 weeks and 2 days now, but on the ultrasound I’m a week further along, 17 weeks and 2 days.
It’s a girl. My husband really wanted a girl since he already has a son. For me, it really didn’t matter what gender it would be as long as it’s healthy. I already have a girl, and with another princess coming, I’m very happy
Who else is having a girl in November??
Greetings, Wendy

My official due date for our second daughter is October 28th. In theory, she could still be born in November, although I think that's quite unlikely!

Congratulations on having a girl! Is your girl on the larger side because the ultrasound says you're a week further along?

    Enjoy it!

    Hey,
Normally due for November 24th, but it'll definitely be earlier since it's a C-section.
Well, I don't really know the size, I think it's normal, I'm not sure, I'll have to ask next time, but maybe she'll be back on track by then or something.

    Hi Wendy,

So you already know you're having a C-section, does that mean you get to pick the date too?
That's pretty unusual, isn't it, that you can choose the date when having a C-section.
Because if you let nature take its course, it happens when the baby is ready, not when you decide... But why are you having a C-section???

    Hey Ju,
Because my first child, my son, passed away at birth. During the delivery, there was a severe, life-threatening infection that could have also been fatal for me. That's why we don't want to take any more risks for the baby or for me, so we've decided to go for a C-section...
The date can be chosen, but only on the days when my gynecologist performs surgeries, okay...

    Kind regards,

    Hi Wendy,

Wow, that sounds like a truly awful experience. I can totally understand why you’re opting for a C-section now. Since they don’t just do C-sections lightly these days, I assume Wendy has a specific indication for it, and that’s indeed the case.

Have you been able to process what happened to you a bit? It’s really heavy stuff. Well, things are a bit emotional around here at the moment, but it’ll pass. Did you know we’re due on the same date? That’s pretty special, huh. I had a nuchal translucency scan back then, and the baby turned out to be older than initially estimated.

My due date is 24-11-2012. Funny, but there are probably more people with that date. And usually, the actual birth date ends up being different anyway. If I understood correctly from other blogs, you’re having a girl??? I’ll talk to you again soon. By the way, strength to you—I think it’s really brave of you to share your loss of your little boy with me.

    Love, Ju

I went to the OB-GYN last Thursday (16 weeks). My due date is November 29th.
On the ultrasound, our baby was in a breech position, but after some pushing and looking closer, the doctor said we had a 99% chance of having a girl. She did add that we shouldn't tell everyone yet because she wasn't completely sure.
She did clearly show me the three lines you see when it's a girl, so I have a good idea that this is our third girl, although I'm not daring to hope for it exuberantly yet.
(I really wanted to tell everyone already, especially our oldest daughter, but we have to be patient for a little longer!)

Yes, with an s and a dash it's pretty clear what needs to change now. You already have two girls, that's lovely! Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
