How does a bottle warmer work?

You can also just heat the water and then add your formula.
The one I have shows nicely how many ml of water you need to put in the warmer according to the bottle. It comes with different pieces for wider and narrower bottles. You put that water in the warmer, place your bottle in the right piece, and press start
I’ve tested it once, and a small amount goes pretty quickly. But the microwave is still much faster.
Ours also has a 12V plug for the car, so it can come along on trips. I should check which brand it actually is; I bought it from a colleague.

If you're planning to bottle-feed, I wouldn't buy a bottle warmer, honestly it's a total waste of money! Heating it in the microwave or just using warm tap water is much faster! (For on-the-go, you can bring warm water in a thermos)

If you're breastfeeding, it might be worth considering, since it's recommended not to heat breast milk in the microwave to preserve the nutrients as much as possible..

I have a Medela bottle warmer, a nice thing for breast milk but after that I never used it again.

    Hi Poesh and Kruimel,

I thought I hadn’t received any replies to my post, but apparently I did . So sorry for the late response.
I don’t have a microwave (microgolf), hence my question. But I’ve now reached the point where I’m going to try using warm tap water first. I probably won’t be giving BV (breast milk), so I don’t need to take that into account.
Otherwise, a simple microwave might not be much more expensive anyway.
    Thanks for your replies!
