Secretly hoping for a specific gender for my third baby

Dear mothers,

I can imagine that titles like this sometimes stir up quite a bit of controversy, and oh, how ashamed I feel about it, but I still want to share this with you all.
Currently, I'm expecting our 3rd child; we already have 2 healthy boys. This week I'm having a gender-determining ultrasound, and I'm so incredibly nervous. Secretly, I'm hoping so much for a girl! The most important thing is obviously that the baby is healthy, regardless of gender.
But still, I don't know what it is, but the desire for a girl is so strong—the cute clothes, little dresses, etc., etc., it just seems wonderful to experience that too!

Who can relate to this? Who might also have been in this situation and recognizes the feelings I have? Once again, I don't want to offend anyone with this topic; being pregnant itself is and remains a wonder.

I can totally understand, it's not a big deal that you have a preference. I have a 2-year-old girl and I'm pregnant again with another girl, but I did have a preference for a boy. Well, it happens, as long as she's healthy.
