    One thing you could do is look up the meaning if that's what matters most to you. I always find that really important.

    I like the name Floor, but it's not practical in English-speaking countries.

    I think Flora or Flore is nicer than Floor. Floor feels too much like a last name.
    Felien looks nice, but it feels too cat-like to me.

    If you really can't decide, write both names on a piece of paper. Fold it in half and set it aside for a while. Then, pick one piece of paper. If needed, shuffle them around so you don't know which one is which anymore. The one you pick is the name. Your gut feeling will tell you then. Unconsciously, you already have a preference. And then you'll know I hope you kind of get what I mean. It's something I read on another forum. Never had to use it myself, but I could relate to it.

    Floor as a last name? That's new to me.

    I'd choose Floor, but more because it fits better with our family. I really like Felien too, and the hyphen makes it special.

    Stupid electronic devices too. I mean an ABBREVIATION and of course not a last name. Sorry for the confusion.

    Floor too much an abbreviation of Flore or Flora.

    Why don't you just wait to decide until your girl is born? Once you see her, the mother often knows right away which name fits the baby.

    We had a name until 30 weeks, got an ultrasound, and both of us agreed that name didn't fit our baby. We didn't know what it would be. But we both had a very strong preference. It wasn't until week 38 that we finally had the name.

    You'll be fine, girl! How much longer do you have left?

    It's really tough. Your child will have to live with the name you choose for the rest of their life. Go with your gut!

    We'll do that. And we'll take the arguments for or against Floor or Félien/Felien into account, haha!
    So, nice and rational too
