Hi, I'm currently almost 14 weeks pregnant. I did an early gender determination using the nub theory. Are there others who have done this? According to the sonographer, it's a girl.

    If things go well, my partner wants to take a nub photo during the due date ultrasound.

    Had the 12-week scan this afternoon.
    If the nub is correct, it's a boy.
    The sonographer said so too, a boy's nub :-)
    And that while she thought there wouldn't be a nub visible yet at 10 weeks :-)

    I find it so special that they can see that.. it's all still so small. It's probably correct, but we're keeping it a surprise.. also fun!!

    Our midwife doesn't believe in it and therefore isn't participating. She says there are too many wrong predictions. So we'll just wait for the gender ultrasound!

    My midwife was happy to help, but she doesn’t want to be held responsible if it turns out to be a girl anyway.
    But yesterday I had a trainee sonographer. And as part of her assignment, she had to visit them to practice how she could control the ultrasound machine.

    I’ll find out from the gender ultrasound whether the nub photo was accurate :-)

    With the last 12-week scan, I also asked about the nub.
    At first, she didn't want to say anything, but then I mentioned that I'm getting a gender determination at 15 weeks anyway, so I thought it would be fun to see if it matches.
    According to the nub, it's a boy. She said it's 75% reliable.
    I'm curious!

    Hi girls, I see that not many posts are being made here, but what do you think of my nub? It's in my profile picture. I don't know how to upload regular photos because it says to turn on JavaScript, so just shoot me if I mess up. But this photo is from 12 weeks, so I still have another one. This photo looks like a boy to me, while the other one looks like a girl. I'm curious.
