comment on the announcement of the third pregnancy

Well, I was talking to my mom about it recently. She said it's definitely possible, but I always envisioned having two kids—it's such a nice number.

Lately she's been saying to enjoy this pregnancy, maybe the last one, and I told her, "Mom, this IS the last one, hehe."

So that's how we're looking at it now.

As for pregnancy symptoms, I've had some mild discomforts so far, which is normal, so no complaining. My last pregnancy went great too, and the birth was super easy.

What a coincidence that you talked about it with your mom
Nice. By the way, it's great that you're having such an easy pregnancy with both of them.
I have to be honest and say that this pregnancy is quite a bit heavier than the previous ones. I'm also dealing with a lot more hormonal changes—my mood swings more easily, I have less patience, and I get irritated faster.
I do try to respond kindly to the girls though.
And I also explain honestly to them that Mom sometimes gets impatient, but that it has nothing to do with them. That Mom gets tired more easily now that she's pregnant and working, and that sometimes that makes me a bit less sociable.
But that they are my treasures
So for now, are you thinking of sticking with two, Irma?

It’s weighing on me a bit too, can’t really rest much, toddler running around, working and sometimes broken nights, well it’s part of the package. I suddenly realize how big my little one is getting, hihi.

I do get heartburn more often and sometimes have stomach pain in the evenings after a long day. Do you get that too?
I think it’s quite early for stomach pain? I don’t really remember having that back then.

I’m the oldest of three at home, two brothers. On my mom’s side there are also three, and on dad’s side there are six.

I guess maybe 2 is seen as the ideal number?
But well, I guess that’s because of all the comments around me.

I haven't seen a message from you yet, Madelene? I'm just jumping into your topic... How are you doing now?

Oh Irma, I just saw your message now, hi hi
Yeah, that’s not easy at all, right, with a toddler
    And then being pregnant too.
My oldest daughter was 1 when I was pregnant with the second one, also really tough, pff
    Poor kid.
And as you said yourself, it’s part of it, indeed
If you accept it and take it into account, it already saves you a lot of stress.
It’s nice though that he’s becoming a big brother

I didn't have it myself from the tummy pain.
Unfortunately, I can't remember anymore from my previous pregnancies whether I had it during these weeks of pregnancy.
But I think it's normal though.
That's probably the growing of your uterus. The baby is also slowly getting bigger, which means the uterus is also getting bigger. I think that's where your tummy pain comes from.
I'm of course not a doctor, but that's how I think it is
Lots of love to the fun bunch on your dad's side
And how nice, 2 brothers and you're the oldest.
I have 2 sisters, 1 little sister of almost 17.
And 1 half-sister daughter of my dad, 35.
    Older than me then.
With my younger full sister, I'm 13 years apart.
I'm 13 years older than her.
And my half-sister is 5 years older than me.
What I do have, by the way, are often stabs under in my tummy on the side.
But I do recognize that from my previous pregnancies.
    Mavanmi hi, I'll try again.
Pfff, weird right, that it doesn't work?
With me it's going well, thank you.

I haven't told anyone yet (I'm pregnant with my second), but at my workplace there are a lot of big families. I'm a teacher and I've noticed that there are quite a few with three or even four kids. Two is considered small at our school, so I'm kind of the odd one out

I’m also pregnant with my third, and I totally get what you’re saying. Most reactions are super sweet and heartwarming, but you still hear some really awful stuff. I have two boys, aged 8 and 5, and now I’m pregnant with our third son. And back then, the reactions were even crazier!!
“Too bad you’re not having a girl,” “Ah, now you’ll have to go for number 4,” “jeez, aren’t you upset?” etc., etc. Two is indeed seen as the ideal number by a lot of people.

I don't get why people think like that and make such unpleasant comments. Shouldn't everyone be allowed to decide for themselves when the family is complete? I come from a family of three girls, and when my youngest sister was born, my dad also got a lot of comments like, "Oh, what a pity, another girl." My dad found that terrible. He was incredibly happy to have another healthy, beautiful daughter. Judging by what you've written, you handle the negative reactions well—super good, keep it up!!! Enjoy your family happiness.

    So relatable!!

I'm currently pregnant with our 4th child, thinking I'll keep it quiet for a while. Just enjoying this happiness.
