Hi ladies!!

I have a question that's been on my mind for a long time and thought I'd ask here. Who drank coffee during pregnancy (and how much) and did they have a good sleeper or a bad sleeper?

I myself was a restless baby and a very fussy, sensitive baby.
And my mom also blames it on the coffee
because she drank 6 cups of coffee.
And sometimes even more per day.
By the way, it's maybe funny coincidence
that I'm now very addicted to coffee.
    Quite a coincidence
Everything you eat and drink during pregnancy also reaches your baby, so the baby also drinks along with the coffee.
The caffeine also reaches your baby.
    But you could moderate it,
for example 1 per day or 2.
    Not more than that.

    Thanks for your message!

Yeah, I don't drink much coffee, but I've suddenly started craving it. I'm now 25 weeks pregnant.

With my previous pregnancy, I never drank coffee, and she was a great sleeper and slept through the night at 6 weeks. So I'm a bit worried that the second one might not sleep as well because I'm drinking coffee occasionally now.

I think 1 or 2 cups won't do any harm, as long as you don't drink more than that per day. If you want more coffee, maybe decaf is an option. I can relate to what you're saying about the craving. I also stopped drinking coffee during my first pregnancy and it went well for me. But with the second one, it was really weird—I suddenly had such a strong craving for coffee, like I needed it for relaxation. I did drink it, but I kept it to 2 per day. If I wanted more, I'd drink decaf to satisfy the craving. When I'm not pregnant, I drink 7 coffees a day, mostly at work. At home, usually 5.

    Greetings, Maselene.

I always feel so calm from coffee. I really need it to relax. But even though it wasn't easy during my second pregnancy, I still went from 7 cups a day to 2. I knew what I was doing it for, my baby

Yeah, even when I'm not pregnant, I don't drink that much coffee but I've been craving it lately. I sometimes only drink coffee when we're having guests or something.
I thought I'd ask how others handle this????

I always had 1 or 2 cups during my pregnancy and my daughter started sleeping through the night early on. I even had to wake her up for feeds during the postpartum week.

So no link here between coffee and poor sleep. Quite the opposite actually. My friend has a son who still doesn't sleep through the night to this day, he's 3 and she never drinks coffee, doesn't like it.

I normally drink 6 to 7 cups of coffee a day.
During my first pregnancy, I drank max 3 cups a day, the doctor gave me that limit.
My son slept through the night at 7 weeks.

Now I'm drinking coffee again, max 3 cups.
But usually it stays at just one in the morning. Otherwise I don't function well
    I'm 36 weeks now.
