Exactly Mandy, that's the key. How long her cycle is. It's different for everyone. Some are 21 days..haha it can happen!! Up to 89 days..that's possible too!

So girl, I hope it works out for you. If not, not everyone gets pregnant quickly. 6 months to a year is really quite normal.
  2. Mandy❤️ #22

Haha, yeah, that's what I meant!
    Indeed
  3. Vlinders #23

It took us 2 years to get pregnant.
  4. Vlinders #24

How long have you been trying, girl? 1996
  5. Meisje1996 started this #25

I've been trying for 8 months now. I thought something was wrong with me, so we got tested, but everything seems to be fine. Why is this still going so slowly...
  6. Vlinders #26

Maybe you're focusing too much on it
    How long is your cycle?
  7. Vlinders #27

There are people who spend years trying for a baby
8 months is nothing compared to that
Sometimes it just takes a bit longer
Patience and waiting are really hard
  8. :-) #28

    Tricky, right, girl!
8 months is indeed quite a long time, but still within the 1-year limit.
    Good luck with the adjustment!
  9. Vlinders #29

    8 months long??

We've been at it for 25 months.

But success! Take a test on Tuesday, August 25th.

    Wish me luck, people!! ????
  11. Vlinders #31

When are you going to test then?
  12. Mandy❤️ #32

But butterflies, I totally get that "girl" thinks with 8 months now, she can be allowed to be a bit silly once in a while.

Super nice for you that you're pregnant again after such a long time

    And good luck, girl!

Try to have sex every day during your fertile period. Your sperm will be at its best a few days before your period starts, and do it for a few more days after that just to be sure. Good luck!
  14. :-) #34

Wishing you luck and success, girl
  15. Nonnii #35

Hey. I'm 7 months along and my period is due on the 23rd.

Just because you've been trying for so long doesn't mean something is wrong with you. Some of us take a bit longer, just like me and others. We women think so much when we want something. We want it right away and we're very impatient. I tested negative today. And it's pretty early to test now. I was quite disappointed and I could have slapped myself for asking why again so early. I want to say that you don't necessarily have to take a test right away. You should do what feels right for you. If you'd rather wait until after your period, then do that, or before your period, then do that.

And don't be afraid that something is wrong just because you've been trying for a long time. I just want to give you some support. And hope for the best, good luck, girl.
  16. Lucky #36

    Just what Non said.
Listen to your gut and take a test when you feel like it.
And 8 months isn't that long, often 1 year is normal but we all hope to get pregnant quickly so I totally understand how you feel..
I'm on round 11 now and if everything goes well for you guys, hopefully it'll just happen naturally for you too.
And yeah, having sex every other day before and after ovulation is the best.

I hope you're pregnant now and wish you lots of luck .
  17. Nonnii #37

My mom also took more than a year for her first one. And you should see, she now has 6 kids. !!! Follow your gut feeling.!!
  18. Vlinders #38

It's also very important for a girl to know what her cycle is
Then you can more easily conceive
And at Kruidvat or the drugstore they have ovulation tests that track your fertile period
But you first need to know how your cycle works
And in principle you could already start taking folic acid 1x per day 1 tablet

    Conceive lots of success
  19. Suuske #39

Meisje1996, everything above has already been said (by Samantha, Non, and Jes), so I wish you lots of success and hope with you for a positive test!
