Pregnant with a disability
Hi everyone,
We're going to give it a try, yes we are, and we're allowed to! Well, in my case, my partner Frank and I had to have a really long patience. We've wanted kids for a while, but my health didn't allow it yet. Now we've finally got the green light, and we can start trying. Of course, we want to create the healthiest possible situation, with medication that isn't harmful to the little one, so that was quite a task in itself.
But now we're facing an even bigger challenge: how do we manage all this from a wheelchair? The pressure is distributed differently, you move differently, and you barely use your legs. And then there's the moving and caring for the little one.
I'm luckily very independent myself; I even handle the household chores myself rather than having them done by others. But it's still a challenge.
Are there any ladies who already have experience with this? Or who are facing the same (or similar) challenge themselves? Sounds like a nice, educational chat to have here.
Big kiss to all the mamas (soon-to-be)
