After 6 years of trying, still not pregnant... my courage has dropped.
Hi everyone..
We are Katinca, 34, and Marco, 36, proud parents of Valencia, 11, and Sydney, 9.
We've been trying for a 3rd child for 6 years.. 6 years ago, 1 month after I stopped the pill, I got pregnant but it ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks; the heartbeat had stopped 2 weeks earlier.. Since then, we've been trying to conceive naturally... After 1.5 years, our hope started to fade, and we decided to get some tests done
It turned out that our chances of conceiving naturally are only 40%... So after 2 years, we decided to try IVF.. We've been doing that for 4 years now...
And our hope keeps slipping away more and more... We took a 6-month break and tried to see if we could get pregnant naturally again, but unfortunately, after those 6 months, no positive test yet...
We had eggs transferred and tested last Wednesday and... POSITIVE
We couldn't have been happier... On Monday we had an intake appointment and an ultrasound
I'm now 16 weeks.
We wished for just one child, but now we're starting to double everything because we're expecting twins
Due date for baby 1 and baby 2 is December 29, 2015.
I had an early ultrasound yesterday, which can be done from 15 weeks to check the sex of your baby(ies)
This time we're having another boy and a girl
We're over the moon!!
