Worried?

Hi,

Quick question... At my workplace, someone was found to have open tuberculosis (their last day was almost 1.5 months ago). The GGD (public health service) explained the situation and said the chance that any of us colleagues are infected is very small, but it's still a possibility. Luckily, I'm in the first group they're going to test, and I'm getting a Mantoux test. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant...

I'm not too worried overall, but sometimes I get anxious. Has anyone happened to go through the same thing or know someone who was diagnosed with TB during pregnancy? It sounds absolutely terrible because it would mean starting a heavy course of antibiotics during my pregnancy, which I really don't want to deal with... I've never needed antibiotics in my life, by the way.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

@ikke, oh my goodness, that sounds so awful to be in such uncertainty...
I don't have any experience with it... But I hope you'll get some clarity soon.
Maybe someone else has a suitable answer
