little boy of 2 is fighting sleep

Hello dear moms or dads

Here's the thing

Our son slept well until 7 months, but since we moved last year, he's been sleeping badly, struggling to fall asleep and waking up screaming at night.
I don't know what to do anymore. Who else has experienced this and any tips?
I just can't stand loud crying.

During the day he's really sweet and cheerful, a dream child, sleeps for an hour during the day and that's getting better.

I don't know anymore what's causing it. Sometimes we have discussions with my husband and that shouldn't happen.

    Hi Irma,

I had this too and we were really into it for about 2 weeks.
But by staying very calm and letting our son know we were there
Petting his head and saying we were nearby calmed him down again.
My husband and I were also at our wit's end...
But luckily things turned around, he hasn't been sleeping from morning to afternoon anymore since today.
So yes, luckily things are going great with our little boy again..
It's also very important to check if there were any unpleasant situations during the day.
Children process what they experience during the day at night..
Good luck girl and I hope you find this helpful...

    Yes mamavan

We really want a little brother or sister, but this is so exhausting. I've already looked into it, but honestly, nothing really helped.

I keep having nightmares, and falling asleep is just awful.

Sorry, I just had to get it off my chest.

    Any moms with tips?

Try first in their own bed, and if that doesn't work, then on the couch or with us, and then discuss it. That way the battle is a bit less intense.
He still sleeps during the afternoon.

Maybe it's also an idea to maybe reduce or stop the afternoon nap?
That might also help with sleeping better at night?
Indeed, if it keeps going on like this, but you pick him up or like my babysitter did with my daughter
with a blanket on the couch and then try to calm him down with Baby TV.
Otherwise, it's such a battle every night for yourself, it eats away at your energy, and for your little one too, it's exhausting fighting their sleep. Which again causes them to become even more tired and worked up.
So you stay in a circle.
It doesn't matter if he doesn't fall asleep in his own crib.
Just think, as long as he's sleeping, otherwise you're making it unnecessarily difficult for yourself.
    Greetings, Madelene
