too much food in the bottle

My in-laws babysat our little one (over 6 weeks old) for the first time. I’d put the right amount of water in the bottle and the powder in one of those 3-compartment trays. I guess I should’ve explained it better—they hadn’t done this 36 years ago, but now they probably filled the top two compartments instead of just one, so he ended up getting double the usual amount of formula. Besides having a lot of colicky pains all night, he’s luckily okay now. I was wondering if this could cause any other problems.

I think if you're worried a lot, it's better to just call the health center. Honestly, I think it won't do any harm to do it once, but it's a bit tough for him with those cramps.. it's suddenly double the amount his little intestines have to process.. it'll be fine.. good luck. Xx

Thanks for replying. I think the cramps are also manageable; the big tears are luckily gone last night, and this morning he didn't finish his bottle, but that'll probably be fine. Anyway, he's sleeping peacefully again. I'll call the GGD just to be safe.
