How much bottle feeding for 6.5 kg

Hi! My daughter will be 12 weeks old tomorrow and weighs 6.5 kg. She drinks 5x180 but this isn't enough anymore. At the child health center, they suggested 3 options:
- Increase to 210, but she's only allowed 1 liter per day, so 5x210 is too much if she finishes it all
- Switch to satiety formula (risk of digestive issues)
- Start with vegetable/potato puree (that's quite early)

The pediatrician calculated that, based on her weight, she can indeed have 210.
I'm worried we'll end up with an overweight child? But letting her go hungry isn't an option either.
Does anyone have experience with 5x210?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Lies,

Check out this link http://forum.viva.nl/forum/kinderen/maximale-hoeveelheid-flesvoeding-per-dag/list_messages/109183 for others' experiences.

I used to give my two very hungry sons a bit more than 1 liter per day regularly. I'd just make bottles with 210 plus 7 scoops. Then I let them drink until they were full.

With both of them, they rarely finished 5 bottles of 210, but often only two or three or so. With the others, there was some left over.

We're talking about 60 or 90 ml of water and 2 or 3 scoops of formula per day. And often only for a short time, because this usually regulates itself within a few weeks and you go to less formula. I didn't have the impression that this was harmful or dangerous.

You could also try offering smaller portions more often, that can sometimes be nice for a more satiated feeling.

All in all, that 1 liter wasn't sacred for us every day, without just feeding on the go.

My daughter got 5x 210 and 7 scoops at 12 weeks. That all went fine with K&G, then I had to go to 4x210. I'd never done that myself, so I started with veggie puree. That went down well. Now she's 16 weeks and for the past week she's had 2x 240 with 8 scoops, plus 200g fruit and 200g veg, and it's all going super well. I tried that filling formula at 10 weeks but it wasn't such a success because she found it really tasty and got upset if she didn't get it every time.

Lies, I understand you're doubting. I also gave 5x210+7 spoons at 12 weeks. My baby didn't drink it all every time. Just look for signs of satisfaction. If she looks content and keeps growing well, that's what matters. The health center can also give you good advice on the right pace.
