Hi there.

I've been taking Utrogestan for three cycles now. I was wondering how your experiences with it have been. I find it especially frustrating that the side effects often mimic pregnancy symptoms. Or could it be that I'm actually pregnant this time... frustrating, right? I feel some pulling in my groin about 5 or 6 days after ovulation. Sometimes in my lower abdomen. And what's different this time is that last time, you'd forget what it felt like after a while.

    Hi Leeuwke

I'm also using Utrogestan and yes, the side effects seemed very similar to pregnancy symptoms for me too. I tried not to focus too much on them and just wait for each pregnancy test..
I have to say that the 'side effects' were more intense once I was pregnant..
Just wait and see! I'm rooting for you anyway!

    Love x

Thanks for the reply. It’s nice to know I’m not alone.

I used them too but didn't have many side effects. One person is more sensitive to them than the other. The only thing I noticed was swollen breasts. Otherwise, no issues. I had the 100mg and had to insert them three times a day. Gr

Today is day 18 after ovulation. I had to test today... but the test isn't working properly now... nothing shows up. Normally, it should show either positive or negative. My period should be coming soon too, right? The last two times, I got it before I had to stop with those injections. And yeah, I always only had to take one per day.

Can you upload a photo of the test? If there's no control line showing, the test is just faulty and you should get a new one..but still not negative..that gives good hope!!! Fingers crossed xx

Such a shame that so many people have viewed it but no one has replied.

By the way, your period always comes 14 days after ovulation. So that means you're 4 days late... dua, maybe you're pregnant Take another test... I'm curious xxx

Esra. I already threw it away and will buy another test. The instructions said a red line means negative, two lines mean positive, and a faint line means invalid, but nothing showed up. It also said the test isn't reliable after 30 minutes, so I'll go buy another one.

I've already had 2 inseminations. The last time I went for follicle monitoring, the gyn saw that my egg had already ruptured, and she told me to hurry up and start having sex, then take Utrogestan like the previous 2 times.
Now I had forgotten this and only started a few days later. Would that have an impact?

I've registered in the meantime. You'd think that if you buy one from the pharmacist, it would be good, right? Unfortunately not. I'll go buy one later. I do have the last shift today today. So frustrating.

No, the little balls are only for implantation. I don't think implantation has any further effect on the rest of your cycle. You're already 18 days past ovulation. If you were pregnant, there should really be something visible on the test. Even a faint line means you're pregnant. If you get a positive test, call your gynecologist right away to check your hCG levels in your blood... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

I hope so, of course, but I don't feel much.
  14. leeuwke #15

Did you count again and you're only on day 17? So stupid.

17 days past ovulation? That's overdue, girl!! Go take a quick test.. go go.. hahhaa xxx

    The test is negative, though...

Still weird, right? The first round of IUI was on the day I had to test, and there were already signs of MS. The second time, I never had to test before, and now (without IUI), I did have to test to know whether I should stop taking Utrogestan. MS will probably come, right? But hey,

Utrogestan has the unpleasant side effect of causing your period to be delayed. I'd just go ahead and insert the Utro tonight, and then test again tomorrow morning with your first urine of the day! That test will give you more certainty. If it's negative, then stop taking your Utrogestan and wait and see...

I didn't take any more yesterday. My periods have been absent. If I don't get my period this weekend, I'll retest. I feel fairly normal. It shouldn't be harmful, right, that I'm not taking Utrogestan now?
