Negative tests, overdue, and still pregnant?

Hi ladies,

Just a quick question, I'm really feeling unsure.
I'm already four weeks overdue, with a cycle of about 33 days. I've been off the pill since June/July and my cycle is slowly returning. We don't have a specific desire for a child right now, but if it happens, it would be welcome. We've had safe sex, only at the end of the month: before singing, we left the church.
My last period was until January 4th, but still nothing..
From the moment I should have started my period, I've had stomach pain like I should have my period, back pain.. & less appetite and sometimes nausea from certain smells (I sometimes had this more often).
Also (sorry for the dirty details) when I should have had my period, I had brown discharge for about 3 days. A week later, a very small amount. Otherwise, it's starting to turn white again..
Since then, I've had that stomach pain and severe back pain. Also more headaches.
All tests are negative, but I feel like I'm not going to get my period soon. My sister could only test positive at 2 months. The doctor doesn't take me seriously, so that's no help.
I'm so nervous, I'd really like to know where I stand.
If it turns out to be something else, I'll get a bit scared.

    Hi Helen...

I can imagine this doesn't sit well with you. I'd almost think you're pregnant too, but I'm not a clairvoyant and not a doctor either. I find it ridiculous that the doctor reacted like that, so I think you should really speak up! You deserve serious care! And if not, insist on being referred to a doctor who actually wants to listen to you. Your GP can test your blood to see if you're pregnant. Seriously, you don't have to put up with this behavior! A bit of assertiveness is in order! I wish you lots of success!
