Hi everyone,
I'm 28 now, and my partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for a while... Now I have a progressive muscle disease and use an electric wheelchair, and I've been to the hospital a lot, but they didn't have much experience with it either. The phrase "what if... complications arise, and then what?" came up a lot... It's very uncertain, and no one knows how everything will turn out. I still feel strong and fit, and I think I can handle it for now. I ovulated and I'm a week late, so we took a test this morning, and yes, two lines! My heart skipped a beat, and I didn't know what to feel—happy, scared, and unsure. It's going to be an exciting time!

    Hi Eva,

Wow, that sounds so exciting! And of course, congratulations! I see it was a conscious choice between you and your partner... you're going for it and you feel good about it. That's important! The rest can't be predicted... I really hope everything goes well for you... it's your right to enjoy this. Try to enjoy the moment, because anxiety and stress aren't good

My mom just found out about my pregnancy... she's really sad now and thinks it's so sad that I let this happen with my disability, I'm being irresponsible... Nice to have a mom like that -snik-

Oh girl, you don't mean... that's not the reaction you want from your own mother Maybe she just needs to get used to the idea? Didn't she think this was a real wish of yours? I hope she comes around and supports you! Because you can definitely use some support give it some time... even though that's hard... when you have good news, you expect a nice reaction from your mother too.
